Nice review paper showing that clinicians tend to underestimate the presence of depression, anxiety, and psychological distress in adults with LBP. However, effective screening is possible using 1 or 2 item questionnaires. rdcu.be/d9jCa

@DerekGriffin86 @chadcookpt @ThomasG_MK @Florian_Naye @SimonDecary not surprising indeed...as the vast majority of CS only use symptom modulation or physical examination findings to subgroup patients - cognitive and environmental factors are marginally utilised.

@YTL_PT @chadcookpt @ThomasG_MK @Florian_Naye @SimonDecary As much as the idea of classification/subgroups seems very logical, it has failed as of yet to improve outcomes. IMO the idea of individualised care is at odds with subgroups. There will always be unmeasured variables which will different between apparently homogenous groups.
