@Robbie_Reasons I can’t stand the thought of these influencers trying to gouge thousands from small businesses for a video. They’re getting ad revenue, and sometimes sponsorships so trying to charge for a review is just greed. I’d never even have the gall to ask for a pint from a pub I visit!

The Somerset Farmhouse of 1 North Street, Williton were approached by a "food influencer" that wanted to charge them £2,000 for a review.
They put out a video of Sally eating a sausage roll instead 😆.

Brewhemian Hopsody, Fulford, York. Worst or best name ever! Actually, beats the likes of ‘Pub’, Cask’ and ‘Keg n Kitchen 32’. Boring breezy cafe micro. Fierce drinks top quality. Nice landlady with dodgy card reader prefers Vault City to Irn Bru.

Just a half cos I visited last in 2017! Empty upstairs room splendid isolation, tourist guff downstairs.
Own themed beer, not quite the quality of last two pubs but good enough.

This is the best preserved medieval street in Europe. Recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, The Shambles in York, England has had shops trading on it for nearly a thousand years. It's older than the Crusades.

@BriggsonBeer Probably the Maltings in York. Used to go there every crawl, either starting there or starting in York Tap and going there second. I don’t know if “closed” is entirely correct because it’s now a terrible Irish theme pub but it’s sorely missed

Fly camping above the Kirkstone Pass Inn 😮🤯 It’s been reported to @WandFCouncil but who knows if anyone will head out to educate and enforce Public Space Protection Orders within a UNESCO World Heritage Site? #lakedistrict #countrysidecode My fell running pal sent me these images infuriated asking where are the rangers. Fact is such inconsiderate and irresponsible behaviour needs reporting. Hopefully, they’ll be approached with care and education. It’s a helluva tent to carry up that steep part of the fell above the Kirkstone Pass Inn! I’m sure the guests staying in the boutique accommodation holiday let by the pub will appreciate such views. I wonder if it’ll be abandoned on the fellside tomorrow? How much litter is left behind? Maybe fire pits that harm the land? 🤔🤔

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has called for an outright ban on early morning pre-flight pints at airport bars. He said he “fails to understand” why anyone is served beer at 5 or 6am and wants alcohol sales restricted to normal licensing hours only. O’Leary has long demanded a strict two-drink limit per passenger. He revealed Ryanair is now forced to divert flights almost daily because of drunken and aggressive passengers – up from once a week a decade ago. The boss accused airports of “profiteering” by pushing early booze and exporting the chaos to airlines. Critics argue: "Drunks shouldn’t be allowed to board in the first place. Stop selling alcohol on board." and "Not just early morning. All alcohol should be banned at the airport and on the plane. It has no place in a confined space and full of people" Thoughts?

Dine-dashers who ran up a £540 bill at a steakhouse and then legged it without paying are being hunted by police.
A group of people enjoyed a slap-up meal at Miller & Carter in Kettering on April 6 between 5pm and 7.10pm before calmly walking out leaving the £539.70 tab unpaid.
Northamptonshire Police have now released CCTV images of the suspects and are appealing for anyone who recognises them to come forward.
It’s the second time in weeks the same branch has been hit by dine-and-dashers.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 26000213409.
