NATIONAL GENDER AND CLIMATE CHANGE ACTION PLAN (NGCCAP) DISSEMINATION We held a successful capacity-building and dissemination exercise of the National Gender and Climate Change Action Plan (NGCCAP) in collaboration with @EnviClimateC_Ke The workshop held in Kisumu brought together key stakeholders from Nyamira, Vihiga, Siaya, Homabay and Kisumu Counties to explore effective implementation strategies of the Action Plan, strengthen coordination of gender and climate change policies and promote gender-responsive climate action at both county and national levels of government. #ClimateAction

Gender segregated data informs specific actions necessary to close gender gaps across sectors. In partnership with @kuweehub2, today we hosted a validation & dissemination workshop of a national report on Women’s Participation in Management and Leadership in the Public Service

The study report reveals notable increase in women's presence in senior management roles in the public service despite men still holding majority of positions. Recommends strengthening of existing frameworks such the not more than two-thirds gender principle and the NPGD 2019.
