I’m all for women making bank and empowering them but Twitch is not the platform for this. Twitch is still a 13+ site. Fansly and OF creators need to keep that sort of content on the appropriate platform, which is Fansly or OF lol. She’s pushing the boundaries of TOS just funnel more people into her pornographic content and let me tell you not all of them are 18+ This is damaging to teenagers who can fall victim to this sort of addiction. I miss when Twitch was strictly gaming.

So, uh ... just sent in the manuscript for Tales 2 to my editor. It's not completely done, but done enough for her to start working. Exciting. :D

I see this being said lately about nearly every subject. “Why should high schoolers know books? Movies? Why should they know words?” There’s a widespread assumption that kids who have been in school for twelve years shouldn’t know anything. Low expectations are killing us.

If a district tried to change the school start time to 10am, every parent and employer would revolt against it. I do not like when people act like schools just don’t know what the research says. We live in capitalist America. School start time has never been about the research.
Massimo@Rainmaker1973

Starting school at 10:00 a.m. instead of earlier times aligns with teenagers’ biology and delivers striking benefits. A study found that shifting the school day to a 10 a.m. start reduced student illness by more than 50% over two years. When schools reverted to an 8:50 a.m. start, illness rates spiked by 30%, showing just how strongly school schedules affect adolescent health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has long recommended later start times for this reason. Beyond improved health, the change also produced clear academic gains: a 12% increase in students making significant progress — the equivalent of 20% of the national benchmark. By respecting the natural circadian rhythms of teenagers, who tend to be night owls, later start times help students get more sleep, arrive more alert, and perform better. This simple, low-cost adjustment offers a powerful, science-backed way to support both the physical well-being and academic potential of the next generation. [Kelley, P. et al. (2017). The amount of behind-the-scenes work that goes into a TV show is INSANE. So many hours burned, so much effort and money ... it's really something to watch and be part of.

@MissedtheFence @DrChaeEd The problem is the spaces they use. Football, baseball and track, sure. What about bowling teams? Swim teams if they dont have their own pool? Other clubs like horse riding clubs and golf? Are they going to start requiring employees to show uo to those places now at 5am?

@Yaaas63 @DrChaeEd People forget that athletes can practice before school, much like they get up to practice at 530 a.m. in the summertime so they can play before it gets super hot. It's not beneficial for them personally, but it's a better option for the school as a whole.

There's a uproar in our local Facebook about non-high school graduations happening at the same time across schools. But my hot take is outside of kindergarten and 12th grade, schools shouldn't be holding "graduations" at all. Also nix all these non high school proms too.

@TolentinoTeach Also for those saying "but what about x,y,z?" There are obviously exceptions. However I have had several students who needed escorts or i had to not send them during a certain period becuasse they would skip class or go every single day and miss instruction

Most people who don’t work in schools can’t fully understand why teachers sometimes restrict bathroom use. From the outside, it gets framed as a “bathroom rights” issue, as if teachers are simply being unreasonable or dismissive of students’ needs. Here’s the reality: There are schools where students can use the bathroom freely with no problems. And there are schools where, if you allow unrestricted access, mayhem ensues. -Students leave for 40-minute stretches. -Student wander into other classrooms and throw water balloons. -Students vape. -Students meet each other and box in the bathroom (with gloves). -Students scream through the halls as they run past rooms. -I can go on with another 2,000 issues. What looks like a simple policy decision (from an adult's perspective) is actually quite complicated. Once again, if you are not working in a school--you probably don't get it, bruh.
