@Twayzeee @ChiefWoky @Bl33dOrange @LegionHoops Idk I find it crazy that when bron leaves teams they become lottery pick teams but when Jordan left the Bulls to play baseball, they were just fine. If bron was on that same Bulls team he would have won 10 rings cause he actually likes basketball

@ChiefWoky @Bl33dOrange @LegionHoops You can’t be 4 out of 23 when you are playing with the most HOF teammates out of anyone in history and moved teams 4 fucking times and be considered the goat. He’s incredible but longevity does not mean you are the best.

Anthony Davis on winning a championship in the Bubble: “To this day I think about that. Like did I really win a championship? You hear the noise. To me it’s probably the hardest championship to ever accomplish. I know I’m a champion but I want the real experience… For me it’s like ‘damn did I win? Did I not win?’ I know I’m listed as a champion but it’s like, I’m not sure. It motivates me now that I got to have that opportunity again.” (via @DraymondShow, h/t @NBA__Courtside)

A HARVARD psychologist says: “if you’ve achieved nothing by 25, you’ve avoided the most destructive illusion of youth” > In 2021, a Harvard psychologist surprised a lecture hall with an unexpected statement: “If you haven’t accomplished much by 25, you may have escaped one of youth’s biggest illusions.” At first, the room laughed. She wasn’t kidding. > The illusion of early success. In your early 20s, the brain seeks quick proof of worth ~status, attention, rapid achievements. But psychologists warn that chasing recognition too soon can lock people into roles or paths they never consciously chose. They decide too early… and spend years trying to undo it. > The exploration phase. Research on career development suggests that people who explore more before 30 often build stronger long-term directions. Testing ideas. Making mistakes in public. Changing course. At 25 it looks like confusion ….but by 35 it often turns into clarity. People who feel “behind” in their mid-20s frequently gain something others miss: Perspective. Patience. And a clearer sense of what truly matters to them. That foundation often leads to better decisions later on. At the end of the lecture, the psychologist left the students with one final thought: “You’re not meant to have life fully figured out at 25.” “You’re meant to discover who you’re not.”

Psychopathic behaviour. Jannik Sinner could have hit this ball for winner anywhere on the court, Michelsen had even given up on the point and was therefore taking no evasive advantage, but Sinner went straight for him. Awful.

@ShamsCharania Luka’s 16th tech wiped, Silver’s golden child can’t miss games. This is why fans hate the league: refs call soft techs, then rescind for stars. Pistons fans in shambles, but this is why OKC/everyone gets screwed. Rigged for LA again.

Deandre Ayton says he got tired of being the odd man out on the Lakers, but now he’s completely locked in “LeBron’s been locked in, Luka — everybody’s been completely locked in. I’m just tired of being the odd man out. The team’s been there; it’s just been me… but I’ve completely bought in, like 110%. I hope you see the work.” (Via @DanWoikeSports)

Jimmy Connors on Novak Djokovic: "I don't like people saying he should retire. There's only one person who can say that: himself. You can't take away from Novak something that he loves so much. He doesn't need to please anyone, not you or me, who are spectators. If he steps on the court and feels he's done everything he needed to in this sport, yet still wants to continue, we can't ask for anything more than that."

🤦‍♂️ No, Joker. Phones get better because engineers build on previous technology. Hardware literally updates. Basketball players are still limited to biology, talent distribution and work ethic. Strategy and training improve but that doesn't't guarantee every generation is better than previous. New dancers today might know new dance styles but that doesn't mean they are better than Michael Jackson. The moves evolved but not the talent.

Nikola Jokic on why comparing NBA eras doesn’t make sense: “It would be stupid to think that basketball isn’t better today than it was 30 years ago. That would be like saying phones were better 30 years ago. Technology evolves, everything modernizes, and basketball evolves too.” (Via @XOsChat )

Novak Djokovic says he will not talk about anything he was struggling with physically during his match against Carlos Alcaraz at Australian Open: “I never liked to talk about things that I go through physically or health wise. It’s going to come across as I’m looking for excuses and taking away credit of the winner. So it’s not gonna change this time. I’m just gonna congratulate Carlos and he was the deserved winner on the court today.” (via Australian Open Press)
