What truly is the "cherry on top" of this video, is not the fact that Caruso is explaining the disastrous decision the Lakers made to be cheap, go with THT, and let him walk for nothing...but it IS the fact that he's explaining in detail the situation to none other than the Lakers current head coach....JJ Redick..who at the end of this video, literally is clowning/laughing at the ridiculous deal his CURRENT BOSS (Pelinka) slid across the table to Caruso and his team...ubelievable. Yet you mentioned Lebron and I mentioned the sports agency that housed their two best players at the time and the relationship they had (org and Klutch.) They definitely leaned THT bc of the ties. Caruso only wanted 2 years 20 million. He actually came to them wit that deal after already being offered more by Chicago. Lakers declined Lakers resigned THT for 3 years 31. I'm not here to debate, respectfully. These are more facts than my opinion

@nittygritty410 AC was one of bron favorite teammates he wanted him back lakers didn’t feel he was worth doing into the tax too. THT was a super young player and a lot folks around the draft thought he would grow to be a better pro. Lakers thought he would be better in the time than AC.

I talked to the manger of my local foot locker for an hour yesterday about who is buying what. 1) Kids are broke so they’re being choosy. Jordan is really only falling cause they’re so expensive. 2) Asics & New Balance still in demand but only cause they’re being discounted. Kids with money are moving on. Now they’re hot with the medium money kids. 3) Puma is collecting dust. Kids want Ja’s & maybe AE. 4) Girls want more shoes for THEM, especially basketball. A’ja is a sweet spot for that.

@KariDaniels If Nike wants to succeed they can’t make shit for me. They need to make shit for a 12 to 13 year old who is just getting into sneakers and is looking for an affordable and fashionable entry point. The more they make shoes for me. The more they will lose.

@bomani_jones Merriman’s fall off was so insane. 39.5 sacks his first three years, looking like an easy HOF guy, then tore up his knee and only had 6 sacks rest of his career. Maybe Rivers has a ring if Merriman had held up longer.

quietly, that trade was a win-win. chargers for the better qb in the draft (and shawne merriman). eli got to play sooner than he would have in san diego and the rings. you could ask who “won” but it didn’t even matter in the end.
