@nnamaniwally @LordChuks @Hey_Onyinye Like i said is an Igbo word with meaning, so anybody can name their child, it doesnt mean they copied it from anyone, sometimes people call me nwendu and thats how names are formed
English

Amanda is actually an Igbo name, from Chimamanda.
praise john@praisejohnn
Deborah sounds like a Yoruba name Amanda sounds like an Igbo name

@pashiano @OnyeUwaoma88 .. in a fight with Abuja when he requires their help is some of the investments and cooperation in the state. His priority isn't to play opposition politics but building up Abia and sometimes that might mean uneasy quiet about things we would want him to be vocal about.
English

@pashiano @OnyeUwaoma88 .....that Otti isn't a man of great accomplishments rather I am saying he is man who understands times and season and he is able to adjust accordingly. That's the reason he is silent about Obi now. He has the local momentum of his own making now therefore it is of no use . .
English

@The_Alchemint @Hey_Onyinye Was she the first to be name Chimamanda?
English

@ArinzeNwaOtu @OpenMediaNG @999jah__ @Hey_Onyinye Most of them do not know know origin of name Chimamanda. Tell them to provide a source showing someone bearing that name before Chimamanda Adichie.
English

@OpenMediaNG @999jah__ @Hey_Onyinye It's not clout chasing
It's inferiority complex on some Igbo people who feel a need to adapt their names to sound English.
English

@pashiano @OnyeUwaoma88 .....Obi's Vice understood this and criticised Obi for it.
English

@pashiano @OnyeUwaoma88 .... to do was to shut down Lagos, Abuja, Jos .... PH and he had the number to do it. They may not declare him the winner but election would have been cancelled. The Justices saw it was much more costly to side with Masses than the ruthless ruling elite.........
English

@pashiano @OnyeUwaoma88 .. ... the Justices could come up with such absurd judgment was that it wasn't worth it risking it for a man who wasn't willing to fight. If justices perceive that the consequences of siding with status quo is heavier than standing with the masses you will see their......
English

@ifesinachiiiii @OnyeUwaoma88 I don't see much difference between Otti and Obi. You people are saying this because you haven't watched Obi well.
English

@OnyeUwaoma88 He's not a good person, good governance aside (if I'm permitted to say it like this😂). Ya diba shaa.

Priests should never do it. (Yes, I’ve seen it).
Laity? Don’t do it. But that’s not a hill I’ll die on. I have my eyes set on bigger hills when it comes to Sacred Liturgy and the Holy Mass.

What’s your honest opinion on hand-holding during the Our Father?
English

This is supposedly a catholic news paper . Having no regard for a man who has sacrificed his life to serve the church. Not even his years of service is enough to wash away the high sin of entering the country illegally as a teenager. This is not Christianity.....
Notre Dame College Republicans@NDRepublicans
Illegally immigrating is not only a crime but also a grave sin and in direct violation of CCC 2242. While it's certainly possible Bishop Menijar-Ayala has privately repented for such an act, this is nonetheless a deeply concerning example to be setting for the laity.

@SKaizen101 Not just protect their vote but bring in more votes particularly in north east and north west.
English

Obidients don't have that needed sagacity to protect their votes and that's why Obi will lose in 2027
Iconuzor@icons_closet
A divided opposition did infact beat Tinubu in 2023, we just did not protect our votes and naively trusted corrupt institutions.
English

@anthropoorlogy @meetmitt_ @DavidHundeyin Why is that confusing? Logically explain it given the context in which he lived.
English

@meetmitt_ @DavidHundeyin Yes. But in one moment Achebe published this wonderful philosophical tome, and in the next second he is being feted by the library of Congress and the US embassy in Lagos to organize a reading session of his work. Quite confusing
English

On the issue of Achebe. I respect his African rooted philosophy but I stop to think every now and then: was Mazi Chinualomogu so stvpid to see that he was quite literally a pawn in the hands of the department of state? Did he just give up on the pan African ideals after Biafra?

The manifesto of everything that is useless about Africa. Written by a Nigerian who died in the US. Of course.
