Suspect Shot In Vaughan Home Invasion Has Over 45 Charges, Since 2020 A male suspect is facing charges after being wounded during an attempted armed home invasion in Vaughan early Tuesday morning. According to York Regional Police, officers were called to a residence near Carrville Woods Circle and Crimson Forest Drive at approximately 12:50 a.m. on March 17, 2026, following reports of a shooting. Investigators say multiple suspects, at least one of whom was armed with a firearm, forcibly entered the home. During the incident, an occupant retrieved a legally owned and properly stored firearm and fired at the intruders, prompting them to flee the scene.
