@ShamsCharania The WNBA salary cap going from $1.5 million to $7 million is not a small jump, this is a proper landmark moment for them players fam. A supermax of $1.4M and a $300K minimum means the league is finally starting to treat its athletes like the professionals they have always been

@ShamsCharania Great for the WNBA players, serious question tho where's all this revenue suddenly coming from? 🤔 League still loses money every year but now salaries jump 400%? Math aint mathin. Feels more like a PR win than a financial reality. 📉

This is a massive win for the league and the players. Higher salaries and a bigger cap mean teams can invest in talent, improve competition, and build stronger rosters. The revenue share aligns player success with league growth, creating real incentives on both sides. And with a $1.4M supermax and a $300K+ minimum, it finally brings financial stability and respect closer to the level these athletes deserve. Overall, this deal makes the WNBA more sustainable, more competitive, and far more attractive for future stars.

@ShamsCharania That’s a massive shift—this isn’t just growth, it’s a reset of the entire pay structure. It signals the league is finally aligning salaries with rising popularity and revenue. The real test now is sustainability and how fast revenues can keep up with these numbers.

If Women supported Women the way Men support Men sports then the average salary would be way higher and more women athletes would be millionaires. Women want equality but dont do the steps necessary to achieve it. Go up to the average woman on the street and ask her to name 10 wnba players. Ask her whens the last time she went to a game to support. Ask her if she even bought 1 jersey to support the league. Then ask her should women get paid millions like the men do. Haha. We all know her anwser. Women will support Kim Kardashian make up and lingerie but not world class athletes and thats why they get minimal.

@ShamsCharania So the NBA men are paying them. Just say it. They can’t earn their own so men have to subsidize them. Like a divorce.

The WNBA just turned pocket change into generational wealth. $1.5M to $7M cap. $1.4M supermax. Minimums above $300K. This isn't just a raise—it's a revolution. Now watch the same people who said 'nobody watches' suddenly find a reason to be mad that women are getting paid. The game grew. The money followed. Cry about it.

@ShamsCharania @RamonFoster I would never have imagined the NBA owners were this desperate for a tax write-off . The WNBA has never made money and is subsidized by the NBA. If this report is right, it will never make a profit.

Angry guy yelling at clouds
WNBA salaries jumping to $600K average and a $1.4M supermax overnight? Congrats I guess, but this league’s been bleeding cash for decades — this ‘landmark’ deal smells like straight NBA welfare or fans about to get price-gouged into oblivion. Caitlin Clark drags them into profitability and suddenly everyone’s a millionaire? The math doesn’t add up without massive subsidies. How long till the whole bubble pops or they demand even more handouts? Am I just yelling at clouds again or does anyone else see it?
