Brock should have disappeared, Oba should have won King of the Ring and then he should have beat Roman for the title. Nobody would have missed the Brock rematches and they sure as hell wouldn't miss Roman vs Seth leftovers that have been in and out of the freezer for 10 years.

Nothing that they have done with Oba Femi since WrestleMania, including him beating Brock in HIAC, is more effective than if Brock had just gone away and we never saw him again.

So everyone understands: I want players to make every single dollar of their worth. Since this isn't happening, we need tweaks to make keeping your stars less painful. This won't give other players more money. This will largely make the Spurs owners pay less tax. 🤷‍♂️

@Yanksrule @JoshEngleman Yes but with the penalties of the 2nd apron (which Spurs know they will enter at some point in Wemby’s career if doing right by him afa supporting cast) being so harsh, it’s understandable if this (along with other players sacrificing hopefully) lets them avoid that for a season

The Good: -The attempt to make it a more living, breathing environment surrounding CM Punk where multiple people are in his orbit is a good thing. Gets more people involved and you don’t want wrestling TV where people exclusively interact with the wrestler they’re programmed with. -The Jade/Bliss angle -Carmelo Hayes in general -Finn Balor vs Tama Tonga -Punk/Cody v Gunther/Zayn is an MSG level match The Bad: -What is the end game on more Intra Samoan Family conflict where this time, Solo Sikoa was the babyface? There was some late 90s WCW energy to how the crowd wanted to just like who they liked in that angle (Jacob, Keys to a lesser extent) but very little of it made sense and you can feel the fan confusion by the end because of how muddied all of it was. -Cody Rhodes feels damaged and cold. -Where was the women’s division outside of Jade’s crew and Charlotte/Lexi? The Ugly: -Royce Keys got over in Oklahoma in spite of everything working against him. His promo got over and so did his match. To then beat him and lay him out in the post match is defeat from the jaws of victory when he was finally breaking through and getting somewhere. Why is Jimmy pinning anybody, let alone a guy that was signed this year from AEW, that CM Punk went out of his way to mention as a title contender? The show was okay. Generally coherent functional, and even logical outside of the bloodline business. (1 less hour of this stuff helps significantly) The CM Punk addition should keep it at a baseline of “alright” as you can expect it to lead to more main eventers putting time in in ring on the show.

@JoshEngleman When Brunson did it, it did open up another salary slot. If he took his full max they probably move off Hart this year or dont trade for KAT and don’t win a title bc the 2nd apron penalties are too putative. Either way is dumb. Its a bad CBA for the players, great for owners
