Juvenile Peregrine taking a bath in a pool alongside the River Wye below Symonds Yat Rock today. This used to be a regular, almost daily occurrence in the late 80's Added bonus was an Oystercatcher there today Apologies for the camera work, it was hand held was 150mtrs away

Green Sandpiper calling over West WGL at 07.30 Plus 10 Crossbill #glosbirds

Seen taking flight by me. Pretty certain may be my 1st or 2nd ever and definitely my first on my patch, however I believe there have been other records sone years ago

Probable from colouring and call Green Sandpiper in flight disturbed from Dragonfly ponds WGL/CTH at 14.40 believed to have dropped in to new pools east of main lake #Glosbirds

The reed beds have grown, the fish are living there, the Swan pair have been attempting to nest and breed there for years. So what will become of all of this? Washed down in a river to Parkend??

@Lesditch @lostintewkesbur There are discussions about migratory aquatic species not being able to get into the ponds and further upstream. The answer being install a fish pass as is being done around weirs and locks on the Severn
