I wanna give up on em but then they do this They could have easily folded. Baseball will always be my first love and the O’s will always be my favorite team ever. I’ll never not support them! I prob won’t ever get married or have kids…seeing them win a WS ( I was 2 months in 83 when we last won) will mean more to me than anything.

Hey @TiffanyTucker65 and @UMBCAthletics Why don’t you be honest and say you want to downgrade lacrosse at UMBC and don’t want to pay your head coaches. And that you will find and use any excuse possible to fire them because you want to decrease their salary. Tell the student athletes you want to pay the next head coaches nearly half what previous coaches made and still expect to get a qualified applicant. Be honest to your student athletes!!

Cost of attendance is going through the roof and you can't continue to ask other students to pay athletic fees to support these activities.

Posting these positions at half the prior coaches salary and lower than where they posted 10 years ago sends a clear message that UMBC does not care about the lacrosse athletes.

@pompanoj @breese34 I think that's up to them. As spectators we can weigh in with what we want to see, but ultimately the decision has to be made by the players and coaches.

@breese34 Change the game. Let the women play. Go to men's rules and equipment. The rules are so goofy because they think women cant handle contact. They clearly have not met women athletes. The rules make it way to dependent on officiating to determine the outcome. Let them play

The NCAA Women’s lacrosse tourney started off with a leaked bracket, ended with an incorrect All tourney team posted leaving off the best player on the winning team. In between was some great lacrosse but ultimately will be overshadowed with many games being determined by questionable calls and unclear rules.

@snacks8897 They spend something like 75% of their time in the league office thinking about ways they can screw over the Ravens.

I’m sure this will be brought up all season if things don’t go perfectly.

@ChrisStukus @BrentAxeMedia I don't disagree with you on the rules. A lot of us fought back in the early part of the century to get rid of things like dangerous shot when it hit the goalie, and natural boundaries. The game is much better today and can be made even better.

Don’t have any rooting interest and not taking anything away from Northwestern, but that is a ROUGH scene for those refs in the UNC-Northwestern women’s 🥍 title game. Some absolutely brutal calls against the Tar Heels.
