Just found this from my archive and tears came down my eyes…on the day this letter was dated, I was in the village for my late dad’s burial. Couldn’t hold back the memories. Thank God for how far we have come and the journey ahead of us, I remain grateful and thankful.

I want to rant because it is my account 😂 Had a meeting with my guys today. We budgeted for 20–30 inhalers for people struggling in this cold. The plan was simple: the team buys it, the team ships it, the team handles the logistics. All you had to do was indicate. Two people indicated. Two. Meanwhile, more than 100 people were in the DMs asking for funds for other things. And out of that 100, more than 30 had been on their own timeline saying they needed an inhaler. What happened to the remaining 28. I can understand that some people, inhaler wasn’t their need at all. Also, for the 30, we should have at least seen 10 requests. So as long as the money wasn’t entering their account, the inhaler was suddenly not needed. Which tells you plainly that people are manufacturing needs just to collect funds. Anyway, new mandate sha. If we can’t buy your medical need and send it to you, or you can’t pick it up at one of our partner pharmacies, or the team can’t verify your hospital bills with you and your doctor present, please just forget it. Twitter is always an eye opener. It started with that lung cancer guy that scammed me. Thank God I have a proper team now that verifies things and doesn’t run on emotion the way I would.

When I roasted corn last week, someone asked if it was fresh corn (ìbẹ́ẹ̀ní àgbàdo). I went for grocery shopping this morning and bought some corn to make àgbàdo sísun later in the day as usual. Sweet corn on the cobs can't be any fresher than this.
