This update is mostly aesthetic, but it also aligns with a conference we’ll be presenting in South France, focused on Ummology in dialogue with ufology, and how these narratives get read through the lens of current geopolitics. Why the UMMO globe looks the way it does The UMMO globe is an artistic reconstruction, but it is anchored to a specific source: the geographic sketch included in letter D-41 (1966, addressed to Fernando Sesma). That same letter also provides physical and atmospheric parameters (radius, surface gravity, and a breakdown of major atmospheric gases), plus notes on oceans vs land and the existence of a single main continent filled with large lakes. A few of the stated parameters : • Equatorial radius: ~7,251.6 km (slightly larger than Earth). • Surface gravity: ~11.88 m/s². • Oceans: ~62% of the surface. • A single main continent, with many lakes. The largest lake is given as ~276,320 km², and is named AUWOA SAAOOA (“Little Sea of God”). • Day length: 600 UIW, stated as ~30.92 hours. About “scale” and the map In later correspondence, an erratum (NR-22) corrects a conversion and points to an approximate rectangular scale on the order of 420 × 276 KOAEE, rounded as ~3,660 km × ~2,400 km (with KOAEE ≈ 8.71 km). We treat this as a valuable constraint, but not as a guarantee of projection or of what exactly is being bounded, since the original sketch is not a modern cartographic product. How we built the globe : We used an AI-assisted workflow (Gemini 2.5, “Nano Banana pro”) to help turn the original sketch into a coherent visual, then rebuilt it as a 3D sphere: • color (albedo) from the source drawing, • relief from a derived height/displacement pass, • reflectivity cues to shape the specular response, • an atmosphere layer with a subtle green tint. That greenish atmosphere produces a slightly rosier horizon by contrast and absorption, especially along the day–night terminator (the boundary line where daylight transitions into night). We also added cloud layers, tinted gently to a warm pink consistent with the idea of a dim, reddish-orange stellar illumination of IUMMA. The green emblem is meant to read like an optical “instrument”: a lens you look through. That choice is also a nod to a recurring technical motif in the documents: optics based on gas, where refraction is controlled through density and temperature gradients. Visually, it felt coherent to treat the UMMOAELEWE sign as a “window” rather than a flat logo. The starfield in the background This is a quiet wink toward the Wolf 424 direction, since the letters explicitly associate IUMMA (their “sun”) with Wolf 424 in our catalogs. Finally, the framing choices On the banner, the UMMO globe is centered on the AUWOA SAAOOA region to underline its importance in their geography and naming. Earth, on the left, is centered to keep Southern France and Spain prominent (with Greenland and the U.S. also in view), for reasons you probably already are aware of.
