Day 6 of conference attendance done and dusted! I was honoured to present my #phd #systematicreview findings on #eatingdisorders at the @dietitiansaus conference. It was amazing being able to see our profession grow in not only healthcare but other sectors. Now to take a nap 😴

@Athena_DD214 @DrSteveSafren @ashleyruba Agree. I am passionate about the field I am in and thus the PhD topic I have chosen. I know I will dedicate my life’s work to it. Is it still an absolute chore and shit show most of the time? Yes. We can respect work boundaries and ALSO love what we do.

@DrSteveSafren @ashleyruba Why is everyone obsessed with spending way more than 40+ hours a week on a single thing?! It’s actually unhealthy for most people. Some people thrive that way and that’s great, but for majority of us, it’s not sustainable

Every time I find out that a doctor denies their fat client surgery until they get weight loss surgery, I want to scream. They’re ok giving anesthesia to amputate a healthy organ but can’t do a surgery to help their patient stop being in agonizing pain? Make it make sense.

Asking for an (anorexic) friend. What the hell is this mannequin @ZARA - I love your clothes but this is not a human body. I am really disgusted and sad to see this. The person with an eating disorder I was with, is the one who pointed out how abnormal this is.

Having a mannequin of a larger size than that depicted would both not hurt you, and also not hurt others.

Many Asian girls are this size too. Are we all abnormal? Not good role models? Is there as much objection to large mannequins ? Does that suggest everyone should be a size 18? We come in all shapes and sizes.
