@DrKristieLeong You can also get very close to this with vagus nerve breathing. The cadence I use: - Inhale 4 - Exhale 8 - Hold 8 20 seconds total x 3 breaths = 1 min 20 minutes of this in the sauna leaves you in a transcendental state! 🙏🧠

The “Pranayama Effect” is mindblowing. When experienced breathworkers slow their nasal breathing to just 2.5 breaths per minute, they enter non-ordinary states of consciousness with measurable increases in theta-high beta brain connectivity. Theta waves (4–8 Hz) are the brain’s “twilight” state, that dreamy, relaxed zone between wakefulness and deep sleep. They’re most prominent during light meditation, hypnosis, creative flow, and early stages of sleep. Mouth breathing at the exact same slow rate? Doesn’t happen. It’s not just the slowness. It’s the nasal pathway lighting up the brain. Ancient yogis figured this out centuries ago. Modern neuroscience is finally catching up. Ever tried slow nasal breathing? What did you notice?" I’ve rarely seen a bigger bunch of whiners than us Indians right now. The Prime Minister announced basic austerity steps because of the global oil and gas crisis triggered by the war in Iran. Countries worldwide are responding sensibly: raising fuel prices, shifting to four-day work weeks, shortening school hours, even ramping up coal production. And a lot more. None of this is their fault, but they’re doing what needs to be done to tide over the crisis and stand up to a bully called Trump. Here in India? Supposedly mature people are throwing tantrums on TV and social media about working from home, missing weekend trips to Dubai, or not being able to fill up their tanks freely, or schools going online, or not being able to buy gold. Some are even threatening to buy extra fuel just to spite the government.🤦‍♂️ Others are hectoring the Prime Minister to fly Economy on his global visits or attend these events online. Yeah, see, they told him. And just won for themselves a weekend trip in Timbuctoo. And it’s not like the Prime Minister said we are on the verge of a crisis. We have oil and gas for 60 days and tankers are already on their way. But, does that help? Nope, We moan and whine like he asked us to give up our cars, food and holidays. Like he asked us to stop breathing. They think paying taxes entitles them to do that. In case you hadn’t noticed there’s a war out there and it’s cutting off essential supplies to the world. When will supposedly enlightened Indians understand that this is a crisis not of our doing? We had two options. Get on our knees and fellate a megalomaniacal bully like Pakistan is doing. Or stand up to him. And yes, when we do that, we’re bound to get bruised. The upwardly mobile middle class Indian is just fucking spoilt. Seriously, some of them should be airdropped into Iran or Lebanon to get an idea of what those guys are up against every day.

OMG- ‘When a civilisation becomes too afraid to discuss its own political reality… who actually loses the country?’
Dr. Deepessh Divaakaran (Dr. DD)@md_deepesh

Kerala election barely made national headlines. But something dark happened there. Something most media houses will never decode. Or maybe… never dare to. 140 seats. 71 needed for majority. Headline says: UDF: 102 LDF: 35 NDA: 3 Simple democracy. Simple numbers. Simple victory. Except… the real story begins after the counting ends. Congress won 63. IUML won 22. Read that again. Without IUML, Congress cannot rule Kerala. IUML. Indian Union Muslim League. A political fragment. Born from the same Muslim League ecosystem. The very movement that once demanded Pakistan. Partition happened. Borders changed. But ideologies never really disappeared. Today, IUML is not some side player. It is the power broker of Kerala politics. Education. Minority Affairs. Policy influence. Narrative shaping. Now add Kerala Congress (M). Another powerful religious vote bloc. Strong backing from sections of Christian heartlands. Now observe the math carefully. Muslims: 26.56% Christians: 18.38% Combined: Nearly 45%. Highly consolidated voting. Now compare that with Hindus. 54.73% on paper. But politically fragmented. Split between Congress. CPI(M). BJP. Caste blocs. Independents. Regional loyalties. Personality cults. Ideological confusion. Majority in census. Minority in influence. And this did not happen overnight. In 1901, Hindus were nearly 68.5% of Kerala. By 2011, it dropped close to 54%. Meanwhile, secularism changed meaning. It slowly stopped meaning equality. And started becoming electoral arithmetic. Every party wanted to look “secular and inclusive.” So nobody questioned vote-bank consolidation. Nobody questioned demographic anxieties. Nobody questioned institutional influence. Questioning became taboo. Silence became sophistication. And Kerala became the laboratory. A state where political survival, depends on religious bloc management. Where coalition math, matters more than civilisational continuity. Meanwhile the Hindu voter remained emotionally divided. Caste divided. Party divided. Region divided. Narrative divided. The result? Governments are formed not by Democractic vakues… But by the most organised Religious one. And this is why Kerala matters. Because what begins in Kerala… often arrives in the rest of India ten years later. The real question is not who won the election. The real question is: When a civilisation becomes too afraid to discuss its own political reality… who actually loses the country?

PM @narendramodi gave 7 important appeals to strengthen India during challenging global times prioritize work from home wherever possible, reduce fuel consumption, avoid foreign travel for a year, adopt Swadeshi products, cut down cooking oil usage, move towards natural farming and reduce unnecessary gold purchases. Let’s talk about the Satyajit Ray of Bengal Politics. In 1992, the Academy gave Ray an Honorary Oscar with a citation that shook the world: "In recognition of his rare mastery of the art of motion pictures, and of his profound humanitarian outlook..." Today, the citation for Narendra Modi in the hearts of Bengalis is identical. He has shown a "rare mastery" over the art of governance and a "profound humanitarian outlook" for a state that was left to rot. He is the director of our state's rebirth.

The Satyajit Ray of Indian Politics — A First-Hand Account of Bengal’s Redemption 🧵 To the armchair critics sitting hundreds of kilometers away: your "political analysis" of Bengal is noise. I was born and raised in the heart of Kolkata. I didn't read about Bengal in a textbook; I breathed its dust, felt its fear, and watched its slow decay. This is for you. You see videos of celebrations today and call it "unrest." You don’t understand. This is the sound of a glass ceiling shattering after 50 years of suffocation. This is the primal scream of a people who have finally broken their chains. ⛓️🔥

This shocking case of a 10-year-old Hindu boy being kidnapped, converted to Islam in a madrassa and remain confined there for 8 years, was one of the triggers behind @KanoongoPriyank’s complaint to UP govt regarding madrassas But an Allahabad high court judge criticised him instead, saying what about “lynching of Muslims” and stayed the order Kidnapping and conversion of Hindu minors didn’t trigger milord? This is like Pakistani system operating in India
Swati Goel Sharma@swati_gs

We are helping this boy reclaim his lost childhood. Everyone must know his story - that is directly linked to the controversial comment recently made by a Allahabad high court judge The boy is Vivek At the age of 10, he went missing from home. While playing with some strangers, he boarded a train with them and ended up 10-s of kilometres away from his village That group took him to a madrassa in Muzaffarnagar. Vivek was enrolled, ritually circumcised, renamed Mohd Umar, made to memorise Quran daily Eight years passed All this while, Vivek told madrassa managers the name of his village and his parents. But no effort was made to reunite him with his family When he turned 18, madrassa decided to send him to a Gulf country for labour work. When Vivek went to passport office, his fingerprint revealed his Aadhaar-linked details - his real name and his address in a village in UP’s Hardoi Passport official alerted the pradhan of a nearby Hindu village who alerted the police. Eventually, Vivek’s parents were traced and he was reunited with his family @KanoongoPriyank took cognisance of the incident, raided the madrassa and issued directions asking all government-aided madrasas in UP to disclose how many children of Hindu parents were enrolled with them As revealed yesterday, none has complied. Instead, an Allahabad High Court judge made a controversial remark on Kanoongo over this very order I contacted Vivek recently. He is now 20 He wants to resume his education He is practically illiterate and works as welding labour We - @SewaNyaya and @RashtraJyoti - are going to help Vivek return to school He will reclaim the years stolen from him. Will share details soon.

Sharing some truly beautiful moments from my work We recently rescued a child who was beaten at a missionary school for expressing the Hindu culture she learns at home After initiating criminal proceedings against the school, we helped shift the Nursery kid to another school Then a family approached me on their own. I had not asked. They offered to pay for the child’s entire schooling In another case, we have initiated legal proceedings against a woman’s husband who turned out to be a crypto-convert and tried to kill her for refusing to convert The woman returned to her parents’ home to save her life, along with their two daughters. Amid this battle, their two little girls were pushed out of school because the father is refusing to pay While we have enabled cases for murder attempt and maintenance to be filed in court, another person has stepped forward to pay for the entire schooling of both girls I am deeply thankful to both
