So we are actually going to run a country the size of California? Without congressional approval? And, it’s all for oil! This is not about making America better. It’s about enriching more billionaires.

As our family gets ready to light the first candle on our menorah tonight, the story of Hanukkah feels especially resonant. It’s about sustaining light, even in our darkest moments. It reminds us of our resilience and strength — and to be proud of our faith. Here in Pennsylvania — a Commonwealth founded on the principles of freedom of religion, tolerance, and understanding – we are privileged to light the Chanukiah with our family and the community at our state Capitol and in the Governor’s Residence. As we do, we’re praying for the loved ones of those killed and for a full recovery for those injured at a Chabad event in Sydney, Australia — a community that had come together in joy and fellowship to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. Let the blessings of Hanukkah bring us peace and joy and show that we will not let darkness extinguish our collective light.
