the NHS was left to run hot, year after year. For ten years the NHS ran on uplifts of little more than 1-2%. Grants to councils were cut by ~40–50%. The system did not drift into fragility. It was managed there…knowingly. myemail.constantcontact.com/Knowingly.html…

@YorkDisability Completely performative to meet statutory obligations. A hundred per cent of respondents could say NO and it will still happen.

Tactile paving in Blake St has now been replaced with the correct colour for the crossing type, except the tails which remain grey 🙄 Do it right, do it once. For a council that continually pleads poverty, I wonder how much this error cost ⁉️ FOI request incoming.

After the almighty row about York Central wanting to use the wrong colour tactile at signalised crossings (which we won 🙌) Council now replaces old with grey instead of red as part of Blake St roadworks. Give me strength. #AccessFail

Polling shows support drops from over 70% to 11% once people are made aware of the risks. Why do you think we should ignore the near universal concerns of disability organisations and medical professionals because of a poll anyway?
Paul Brand@PaulBrandITV

EXCL: 65% of people back the assisted dying bill, just 14% oppose it, as it’s held up in the Lords. One dying man pleads with peers from his hospice bed to give him a choice. ITV News is featuring stories from both sides of the debate as time runs out. itv.com/news/2026-03-1…

The information rights tribunal concluded there is “an extremely strong public interest” in releasing the paper so the public can “contribute to an informed debate and hold the DWP to account in its treatment of vulnerable claimants” x.com/YorkDisability… .

Huge missed opportunity that these new trains will not be owned by ScotRail They are being leased by Beacon Rail which is owned by JP Morgan Asset Management Rolling stock is the most profitable bit of the railway Scotland should own its own trains! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Every fifty years Britain succumbs to this social menace nonsense, whether its people with not white skin, Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany, or so-called “mental defectives”. And every generation throws up cranks like Matt Goodwin but ultimately Britain goes on regardless.
Matt Goodwin@GoodwinMJ

Just one generation from now: The white British in the UK will go from over 70% to 33% The foreign-born & their children from 19% to over 60% The share of Muslims from 1 in 17 to 1 in 4 My new book Suicide of a Nation (link below)

It’s getting lost in the noise but I am really struggling with this one. There is not single thing in here that was not known before and sometimes mitigated in earlier plans. An inquiry cannot just report on what happened, it must find ways that people are listened to next time
