Bert Barritt, 2nd East Yorks, wounded in the fighting near Chateau la Londe #OTD in 1944. This was taken when we revisited the chateau in 2009. Bert was an incredible man, known affectionately as ‘Holy Joe’ to the men in his unit because of his strong Christian beliefs. #DDay80
