@unusual_whales I cannot understand paying for the privilege of maintaining your previous user experience with a product that has had little to no innovation in the last 10 years.

So smart of Braden Smith to get the ball up on the rim with enough time to allow for an offensive rebound, without giving Texas enough time to respond.

The Premier League's Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel has ruled there was no VAR error on Kai Havertz's penalty claim for Arsenal v Everton. However, it unanimously voted that the spot-kick for Michael Keane's foul should have been awarded on-field. 👇 bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

North Carolina’s Hubert Davis was fired with a 69.8% winning rate over 5 seasons. Kentucky’s Mark Pope is 46-26 over 2 seasons, a 63.9% winning rate.

Arsenal could win the quadruple and this would be Jamie Carragher quote straight after it…….. Listen, Arsenal have done unbelievably well, you can’t take that away from them — a quadruple is a quadruple. But we’ve got to keep a bit of perspective here. When you actually look at the season, I don’t think the level from the rest of Europe was anywhere near what you’d normally expect. The big clubs weren’t at it, a few of them were in transition, and Arsenal took advantage of that. Fair play to them — that’s what top teams do — but let’s not pretend they’ve dominated the greatest era of football we’ve ever seen. Then you look at the cup runs… the draws suited them. There weren’t many moments where you thought they had to go through two or three absolute giants back-to-back. Sometimes the margins go your way in cup competitions. For me, the real test now is next season. If they’re talking about this team being one of the great sides, they’ve got to back it up. One big season is fantastic — but great teams repeat it. Even something like the Community Shield becomes massive now. Because if they lose that, suddenly people start asking questions: Was last season the peak? Were they a team that just had everything fall into place? That’s when the pressure really starts. Because once you win a quadruple, you’re not chasing anymore — everyone else is chasing you. And that’s when you find out how strong this Arsenal team really is.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Arsenal News@ArsenalNews_Hub

🗣️ Jamie Carragher on Arsenal F.C.: “Arsenal have a very strong chance of winning the Premier League, but the real test for them this week is the match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen tomorrow and the cup final on Sunday. These two games could define their season. If Arsenal win them, their confidence will grow, they’ll become very difficult to stop, and they’ll carry huge momentum into the Premier League run. But if they lose both, it could seriously affect their morale — losing a final and potentially being knocked out of the Champions League in the same week could damage their momentum. This is a massive week for Arsenal and could shape the rest of their season.” 🔴⚪️

@jamesallcott @StuntPegg This is rich from Nieve. I’ve not followed football for long, but I’m fully aware of Jose Mourinho, Conte, etc. Plenty of great managers committed to winning, but almost never had stylish systems. Remember the 2006 Italy v France WC final? Who care how?

@FootballEra_ No, that would require Mikel to bench Zubi or Rice or a LW, which he could do but appears too risky when you can play 7-8 in phases in a game.

What grade would you give Mark Pope and Kentucky for their regular season performance? Kentucky finished with a 19-12 record (10-8 in SEC)

@TheFalseNein I fear only injury to Trossard will motivate Mikel to try Eze at LW. He wants the wingers to support defensively and Eze just doesn’t have the same intensity that Leo and Martinelli bring.

I’m sure the Saka #10 will be an option for the future, but that role is for Kai as soon as he’s fit I still feel. Get Eze on the LW and Saka on the right with a Kai x Gyök pairing and I think that’ll bring the goals we need. Hope he’s back for Sunday.

Anthony Davis in his one season at Kentucky: - National Player of the Year - National Champion - NCAA Tourney MOP - Consensus All-American - SEC POTY & DPOY - Recorded 186 blocks (5th most in a season ever) - Recorded 20 double-doubles - Averaged 14.2 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 1.4 SPG, 4.7 BPG - 38-2 In one season Don't think the four guys in front of him can combine better accolades that that. 🐐

The reason why things used to feel more vibrant (i.e. the “sky used to be more blue” and “music was sooo much better in the early 00’s) is because we had our sensory receptors all the way open. There was only so much you could do on a Motorola Razr in 2004! Eventually you’d put it down and experience life…
