Qué conveniente es culpar siempre a Israel e ignorar los hechos. El 7 de octubre, miles de terroristas cruzaron la frontera, asesinaron, secuestraron y atacaron brutalmente a civiles israelíes. Ningún país aceptaría algo así sin defender a sus ciudadanos.
Si de verdad les preocupa la población de Gaza, ¿por qué casi nunca exigen que Egipto abra completamente su frontera? ¿Por qué gran parte de la ayuda humanitaria entra tras pasar por controles israelíes? Resulta muy fácil señalar únicamente a Israel mientras se ignoran las responsabilidades de Hamás y de otros actores de la región.
Israel tiene el derecho y la obligación de proteger a sus ciudadanos frente a quienes prometen repetir ataques como el del 7 de octubre. Defender a una democracia frente a una organización terrorista no convierte a esa democracia en el agresor.
