@YouEnjoyMyShelf That was the idea at least in the old canon, that he cut distance off by skimming black holes and the like. Which carried over some to Solo, where we see it was getting out of the main corridor and finding his own way.

I wish Solo and other parts of the canon hadn’t tried to explain this and just left it as Han trying to impress some locals.

@C70 Is it more of a distance thing? The less parsecs, the less distance, meaning less time. Also, navigating through dangerous black holes make him a better piolt overall. Sorry, I only get on Star Wars on May 4th. #GoCards
