When Arsenal smashed Spurs 4-1 in February Peter Schmeichel was sat just at the front of the press box. When Gyokeres scored the fourth goal Schmeichel stormed out of his seat to head down to get ready for his post match interview with steam coming out of his ears. He was fuming and clearly so, so gutted at seeing Arsenal win so well. Any other team today, he 100% says that's clear foul and backs the keeper. Seeing him like this just makes that win feel even sweeter.

It gets to a point, you just have to start asking yourself what Arsenal really did to deserve all this…

"If someone criticises, it would be nonsense" 💬 "There were 37 games before, I'm only responsible for Crystal Palace" Oliver Glasner on possibly naming a weakened team against Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season, three days before the Conference League final.

With respect to my colleagues in the football writing industry, I am stunned that Bruno Fernandes has been named FWA Footballer of the Year instead of Declan Rice. Rice has literally won more matches this season (35) than Fernandes has even played (34). telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

No, this appears to be the first time the Premier League account has posted a dedicated celebratory graphic banner like this for a team securing Champions League qualification. Previous announcements (e.g. Chelsea in 2025 or others) used tables, videos, or simple updates instead of this styled player collage format.

For any silly Arsenal fans moaning about Arteta.... This is now Peps 10th season at Citech & he's only reached the CL semi finals THREE times. Go check the stats! Look at where Arsenal were before Arteta came in.....Now sit down, shut up and ENJOY the ride!

🤣🤣🤣 Exactly what I was alluding to yesterday. Not buying this ‘Enrique has saved football’ rhetoric. He’s doing a top job and is a fantastic coach. But the circumstances are extremely favourable. Spend bucket loads on resource, play fewer games and rest your big hitters, knowing that it will not cost you because there is less domestic competition.

@AFCAMDEN Agree with most it. But Jesus - unless you just want him to press hard or drop deep, and create space for someone else to score.

Most people disagreeing which is fair enough. I just look at these players and don’t know if they’ve got it in them to go Weds-Sat-Tues full tilt. The tradeoff is quality for freshness, big calls to be made.
AFCAMDEN@AFCAMDEN

Think Mikel needs to change it up on Saturday. Both full-backs, Norgaard/MLS in midfield and Jesus up top. Thought Madueke looked closer to his early season form so he can go again. Partly rotating but partly to get freshness into the team after an intense game last night.
