The #Braves today selected C Chadwick Tromp to the major league roster and placed C Drake Baldwin on the 10-day injured list with a strained right oblique muscle. Atlanta also returned LHP Dylan Dodd from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list after optioning RHP JR Ritchie to Triple-A Gwinnett following last nights game, and recalled RHP Víctor Mederos while releasing LHP Aaron Bummer from the roster.

When you actually look at the amount of visitors compared to drownings, the percentages are so small. It’s history before formed makes it seem dangerous

The lake started filling on Feb 1, 1956 and it was at full pool on Aug 1, 1958. There were structures and a ton of standing timber left. Again, I’d never down playing Oscarville. It was wrong 100%

@YouLikeCalamari @BillRasure @Bruce_Cares @MrGee54 True, the majority of the town had relocated prior to the project but there were still homes and I doubt there was due diligence to make sure anyone still living there was properly evacuated. Part of why the lake is so dangerous is all the houses and debris still at the bottom

Reynaldo López appeared to use a baseball as a weapon last night. Regardless of it being in self-defence or not, he could have inflicted more pain on Jorge Soler than he would have using his fist. This is unacceptable, is a bad look for MLB, and warrants a 25-game suspension.

@Frank_Frangie Dumb question but serious one. Does abs adjust the zone based upon the height and stance of the batter? I mean Judge has to have a larger zone than say an Ozzie Albies.

For baseball nerds like me, this is the problem I have with the ABS system coming to MLB. It was a strike when it crossed the plate. And was correctly called. But by time catcher caught it, looked low. ABS challenge system will call it a ball. I say let the umps call it. FWIW.

@trooperoutlaw @Frank_Frangie I agree either way you but I can’t imagine how hard it is to make that call or even ump behind the plate with the speed and movement of today’s pitchers. That ball just drops viciously and probably had strike in his mind until it wasn’t.

@Frank_Frangie Is this rage bait? lol. I dunno seems unlikely that ball dropped 10+ inches in about 18” from plate to glove. I’m team USA all the way but that was definitely a ball. But I don’t have an issue with the call. Umps strike zone was oversized all game. Dude should’ve swung the bat.
