According to court records and the investigation, Erickson admitted to sexually abusing the 3-year-old child of a friend. He also sent messages expressing pedophilic ideation, including statements like “Love being a pedo” and fantasies about grooming children from babyhood. Erickson was a medical resident at a Detroit hospital. He faces sentencing on September 15, 2026, and could receive between 5 and 20 years in prison. He will also be required to register as a sex offender. He had previously been charged with domestic violence in 2024.
