A collection of digital characters bringing iconic good looks and a bit of an attitude to the Ethereum blockchain ✨ Your next #PFP? #Minting #NFT

PFPs are the highest form of crypto art. I know this will ruffle a few feathers to say, and it’s not like I’m un-biased, but I sincerely believe this to be the case. Not only that, I see the lagging valuation of PFP art as a sign of the immaturity of crypto’s art collector. I think it’s natural, in a nascent space, to try to anchor oneself in the familiar. And thus, in curating and valuing art in the crypto space, collectors have looked for art that mirrors or resembles “fine” art in the traditional gallery world. But I believe that, over time, more sophisticated collectors will see that the PFP is crypto’s most singularly meaningful addition to the eternal conversation that is art. It was born of crypto, and the culture’s need for anonymity. It is the simplest and most recognizable symbol of crypto to the outside world, perhaps only rivaled by the BTC logo. Within crypto, it is used as a shorthand for what you want to be perceived as (shitposter, artist, seasoned trader, builder—-they all have specific PFPs and communities that will instantly brand you as such) In conclusion, it is my personal opinion that once crypto ceases to be something that we view as needing for elevation or validation, PFPs will be reappraised and recognized for their unique and valuable place in our culture. Or everything will go to 0. Fuck do I know?
