A 21 year old girl working in an MNC called me for guidance today. She cleared 7 rounds. Beat 3000 applicants. Got the job out of 600 people. After 3 months , they put her in a support role instead of dev. She was disappointed. Wanted to fly abroad for higher studies. I asked why. "After all this hard work they gave me this shitty role. No knowledge gain. Not excited." I told her one thing: Detach yourself from excitement and passion when it comes to a job. A job is a job. You work for money. Do what they say or switch to something better. Passion is what you do even when you won't earn a single rupee from it. Don't confuse the two. She calmed down and said , "I'll upskill from here, earn my salary, and switch when I'm ready." That's the move. Stop expecting your job to fulfill you. Let it fund you while you build what actually matters to you on the side.

@cseroshan2028 then get your hands dirty in dev too. I made this mistake was doing DSA aggresively till 2nd yr and was following yt for dev and thought bs itna hi h? ye toh main ho jayega but mainstream indian yt is full of low level content you they gives very wrong taste of reality. Be Aware.
