The protest was likely aimed at Google's business ties with the Israeli government, including the company's partnership with Israel's Project Nimbus cloud-computing contract, an issue that has fueled campus activism at Stanford for years.

The agreement would end military operations, begin reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and launch negotiations on Iran's nuclear program. Markets welcomed the news, with oil falling and global stocks rallying.
The biggest unanswered question is Israel.
Israeli officials were not part of the negotiations, and reports suggest growing friction between Washington and Jerusalem over the terms of the emerging agreement and its implications for Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Russia continued its missile and drone campaign against Ukraine, with fresh strikes reported across multiple regions as Moscow keeps pressure on Kyiv despite ongoing diplomatic discussions about a potential ceasefire.
In Washington, Trump's White House UFC event continued dominating headlines after drawing tens of thousands of spectators. What started as a birthday celebration turned into one of the most unusual political spectacles in modern American history, with a UFC card taking place on the White House grounds just hours after the Iran deal announcement.

And while Israel was very much on board with starting this war, it does not appear to be on board with finishing it, which could still prove quite problematic. Still, Trump got the deal he's been grasping for, all we can do is hope it sticks this time. After the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House last night, Trump got on Air Force One and headed to France for G7. The summit opens as the Iran war concludes, but on the agenda will be the Strait of Hormuz reopening (beginning Friday, we hope), Ukraine, global trade, and the economy, in what could be one of the most challenging meetings in years. Starmer announced the UK would be banning social media for kids under 16, following policies in Australia and elsewhere. And the World Cup continues, along with tons of clips of international tourists discovering what America has to offer. It's been pretty cool to see.
