People really need to stop dragging him,they should go watch the full video and understand the context. Rooney never disrespected Neymar. What he said was, he’s never seen Neymar in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t respect Neymar’s talent. In fact, he defended Neymar when others said Mané was better, Rooney stood firm, saying Neymar is better than all, just overshadowed by Messi and Ronaldo. And that’s where the football knowledge steps in. Neymar is Brazil’s all-time top scorer, surpassing legends like Pelé, and his influence reshaped the game. If Neymar had that same obsessive discipline, if he took his physical preparation as seriously as Messi and Ronaldo, he would be right there with them. If Messi and Ronaldo never existed, Neymar could have five Ballon d’Ors by now. He’s Brazil’s top scorer ever, no one in history, apart from Messi and Ronaldo, combines his skill, creativity, goals, assists, and leadership. His tactical freedom changed the game, coaches now study his dribbling, his off-the-ball movement, and how he influences attacks. At just 30, Neymar alone can decide a match, no matter the moment, he’s that complete. Let’s give him the respect he deserves.
