My beautiful Portulaca grandiflora flowered today. This smart C4 + CAM species can switch between C4 and CAM in response to drought stress. Plus, it has pretty flowers!

RIPE Researchers, in work done for @CABBIbio, demonstrated that increasing the Rubisco enzyme in C4 crops like sorghum and sugar cane increases photosynthesis and yield as well!

RIPE researchers from @LancasterUni wrote a chapter in the latest volume of Methods in Enzymology, providing a protocol for using radiometric assays to measure Rubisco in plant leaves.
