Pahlavi se javlja u Iranskoj politici iz očaja i nostalgije prema vremenu prije 79., Zapadne revizionističke propagande (Iran international, Monoto i sl.) Nema ništa čudno u tome da je IR proizvela "četnike" u opoziciji.

Za razliku od prethodnih protesta postoji jasno omasovljenje Pahlavi diskursa na protestima (ako porediš sa 2009. ili Žena, život, sloboda). Nakon Trumpvog neuspijeha entuzijazam oko Pahlavija će opasti.

Има наших људи који не воле Иран јер су задрти муслимани а истовремено не воле секуларне Иранце јер нису довољно тврди. Иначе, ако је наше друштво поларизовано, њихово је скроз подељено, чланови најближе породице не разговарају јер једно подржава ИР а друго Пахлавија.

@zrakMalogMeseca @nikolatanasic @dobojskig većina iranaca je protiv islamske republike, ako nisu isti onda su i gori od iranaca u emigraciji, samo što smo sa tim manje upoznati zbog cenzure. Ima i onih koji su protiv rata i IR, ali za razliku od ranijih protesta ovaj put je Pahlavi moblisao najveći dio mase.

@nikolatanasic @dobojskig Možda misli na Irance u dijaspori jer tu fakat ima pahlavističkih kretena koji kliču bombama i svakom zlu koje snadje njihovu zemlju, i na keca bi se zakrvili sa najbližima oko šaha i te bulumente. Iranci u Iranu su skroz druga priča.

The scale and quality of the trains, the roads, the EVs — and, simply put, the “modernity” — are staggering. Sure, you'll come across old buildings, pollution, and things that don't work. But the pace and scale of transformation this massive country has gone through is breathtaking. The hype is not exaggerated.

Trump wanted the Strait open and for Iran to agree to not have nukes. They are opening the Strait and there is now a negotiation scheduled. I presume you think this is humiliating for Trump somehow, but I just don't see it. Trump says: Iran wants a deal. Iran says: no we don't and we never talked to him. Trump says: open the Strait and make this deal we were talking about. Iran: we weren't really talking it was just informal phone calls. And no, we are keeping the Strait under our control. Trump: foams at the mouth and scares the Easter Bunny. Iran: we're opening the Strait and negotiating. No more bombing for two weeks. Ha ha. You lose.

There was one major concession to Iran to achieve this ceasefire, but I haven't seen anyone mention it yet. Everyone is preferring to repeat Iranian propaganda and claiming that Trump has already agreed to the ten points from Iran. He hasn't. But the Iranians did extend the ceasefire to Lebanon.

Iranian leaders have achieved operational success in externalizing the costs of this war. But their *strategy* still failed because they did not anticipate three things. First, that U.S. allies, including the Gulf states that have so lavishly fetted Trump, would have essentially no influence over the decisions he makes. Second, that neither the U.S. president nor his cabinet would care about unprecedented disruptions in the global economy and would make it known publicly that they don’t care. Third, that the U.S. president could express glee about the prospect of endless escalation and the commission of war crimes and not a single part of the famous American system of checks and balances would block him from intensifying this idiotic, ruinous war. In the face of Israeli and American aggression, Iran chose a perfectly rational, if risky, strategy. They managed to make it work operationally. But Trump’s pursuit of this war is fundamentally irrational. He is a mad king. Rex interregnum.
