I think they're not standing because they don't want to put YOU first like you do constantly? Have a fun 90 minute speech about yourself at America's 250th birthday. A quick bet: you won't quote any founders, like Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Washington...you'll just give America all your finest words, words from who you self describe as the GOAT...the best words, the best American...blah blah gay.

Popular Latter-day Saint (for now) life coach, author, and podcaster Jody Moore (96k on Instagram!!) just publicly announced on Instagram her disapproval with the Relief Society and Young Women’s programs being under Priesthood Keys, which are held by men. This may seem innocent, but this rhetoric is a direct rejection of the divinely appointed pattern of Priesthood Keys. What are your thoughts?

The two times I've lived there I've come away with thinking there is no place with more vanity for one's self image and behavior than in Utah. I stand by it. Many of the Utahn church members (greatest and worst) put out so much effort to appear to be so holy, physically attractive, and socially advanced. I would guess that among the handful of women in general leadership of the church, the ones with plastic surgery, stylish suits and trendy hair styles are from Utah. You saying that Utah people are just hotter reminds me of these things, and its sad more than funny.

@MattWalshBlog Yeah, but donald trump says he's the GOAT, so why shouldn't we just ignore the country and it's birthday to hear the finest words, only the best and most amazing words ever to come from the greatest human ever? What's the problem?

I’m actually pretty pissed at how badly they’ve bungled America 250. First they tried to invite Milli Vanilli and a bunch of other absurdly washed up geriatric one hit wonders. Then when that didn’t work they decided to convert the event into a Trump rally where Trump will talk about himself for 90 minutes. This should have been a massive, raucous celebration of the country and its 250 year history. Now it will be a political rally identical to the ten million other ones we’ve already seen.

Open houses at their homes? Or are you refering to sacrament meeting 'farewell' talks or the like, as referenced in that excerpt from the manual. Because no, there should not be farewell talks. Assigning an outgoing missionary and others related to the missionary can give talks in sacrament meeting as long as they are a typical, Christ-centered topic as other sacrament meetings should have. As for parties at homes to celebrate the missionary, and I would add the annoying 'reveal' parties where everyone coordinates to hear where the missionary is going, do not seem like something the church would opine on. I think they're stupid traditions and I'd love if people would figure that out, but it's their privilege, no?

The Brethren directly instruct members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to not hold open houses for missionaries that are about to leave on their mission. (General Handbook 24.5.2) The exception is for family gatherings that do not conflict with Sunday meetings. (See third bullet pictured below) Time for many to repent.

A new documentary is championing the election of transvestite Sarah McBride to Congress. "50 years ago, they ignored us. 20 years ago, they laughed at us. Now, they're fighting us. Soon, we win." AOC also appears, saying she wants "to clock these motherf**kers" who criticize McBride. "It is really important for people to see you have power."

@sister_slay Just having an unpaid clergy, like Jesus taught, should immediately weed out 99.99% of so-called christianity from claiming they're it. Wish people would bring that up to the mark driscolls of the world.

But you're dealing with Donald Trump, not so much a celebration of America...it's his ego you're satisfying, not the country being honored. He only wants top rate, the best, the finest, etc. I hope everyone cancels. Maybe they should just stick with the UFC fight...that's plenty America (even though it's all about Trump really).

If I was in charge of the America 250 concert I would do something radical and simply go out and find artists who play great music and hire them even if they aren’t famous. Prioritize artistic quality over name recognition. A novel approach for conservatives but worth a try.

Well if most of America hates Trump, and let's be honest, this is 100% about Trump far more than this ruined nation's 250th is about America, why would anyone want to do it? I hear Martina McBride cancelled? Good. They got their UFC spectacle, that should be enough. Let's not make it a gay, low quality superbowl half time performance. I mean who really enjoys Kid Rock anymore? He's as tired as the left's Neil Young. Go watch Young Washington for your patriotic celebration of our 250th. Rewatch Patriot, Band of Brothers, Taking Chance, and a hundred other good movies to remember the proud United States before Trump jacked it up.

Let’s say the Church released the sealed portion of The Book of Mormon. And it gave exact locations of cities, battles, and other details. Then archeologists went and found exactly what was described. “Proving” The Book of Mormon is a true history and book. It wouldn’t convert anyone to the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Alma 32:21 “And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.” Laman and Lemuel saw angels and heard the voice of God. They still were not converted. Seeing and hearing or you could say ‘knowing’ did not convert them. And knowing or having proof will not convince you either. That witness must come from the Holy Ghost. Moroni 10:5 “And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”

My guess is that has no basis in reality as such a confession to a poll is unlikely as it is a confession to a bishop who of course, would never divulge such stats. More importantly a stat is the use of porn and masturbation which probably effects more than half of men, and ruins marriages.

Apparently the data say that half of young Mormons drink tea and coffee?? I’m removed from Utah culture, so I don’t really have any experience with that Can anyone confirm this with anecdotal experience? If true, it supports the pivot away from orthodoxy that has been noted…

Those people now gone (thankfully) are not the swamp that showed Trump his butt out of office and overthrew him. Those swamp people are still in power, still boldly and arrogantly running the show with no impunity. Trump has drained nothing but America of hope as we are in new wars, higher prices everywhere, and no chance of homes, gun rights, or other critical things promised. Dude gaslights just like Biden's social media staff.

Not sure why folks never mention Steven the martyr and the details he gave of God and Jesus. We know HF has a right hand, that Jesus stands so he must have legs. Luke 24 details that Jesus, the recently resurrected being had an appetite and ate fish and honey, let people touch marks on his body and arms so he's touchable. But because things are too simple and believable, they're not believable. It has to sound complicated and mysterious.

When Jesus was baptized, all three beings of the godhead were present. 1. Jesus, God the Son, was in the water. 2. God the Father’s voice testifying of Jesus. 3. The Holy Ghost, as evidenced by the “sign of the dove.”

While it is likely near Adam Ondi-omen(?), I'm thinking things were elsewhere...like a starter world (near kolob?) or location where HF/Jehovah could easily monitor them before moving them to earth. But that could apply to the creation first since the lights (sun/moon/stars - our universe) weren't until the 4th day.
