Recently, I let my 2.5 months old listen to different songs. He cried for almost every song, from pop music in US and China to Peking Opera. The only exception is "Do You Hear the People Sing." He calmed down whenever listening to this. My son has something big in his mind!

@matthewcomey Maybe some RCTs in developing countries are to some degree forward-looking? They think (or theory suggests) that certain practices can be helpful and use RCT to prove it. Some papers by Karthik Muralidharan may be this type of research?

Just watched some videos of Obama and McCain. They debated with logic, defended each other, or traded decent jokes. That's the democracy in my imagination. Despite their difference, I can fully respect both. Cannot imagine it's the same US democracy I witnessed recently.

I'm so excited! Yesterday, my coauthor sent me the data of the survey we designed for more than half a year. And another co-author just informed me today that we finally get the promotion date data we asked for like 10 months from a company. My co-authors are awesome!

I finally played badminton during Covid19, using 4 birdies to define a court. Although outdoor, it still gave me a great sense of normal. With the help of the wind, I was hoping to beat someone more professional. FAILED! I hope the wind can become a better team player next time.

Just realized that my alma mater (PKU) is also labeled as high risk for its involvement in defense research in a list shared by DoS website. Nonsense! I hope my major makes it safer for me. But Trump has no logic. I'm not a SPY!! Me running STATA cannot damage US security!
