📢 We are excited to share that yesterday's inception meeting for the Feminist Agroecology Model Schools (FAMS) project was a great success!
It was inspiring to see the dedication of various grassroots organizations committed to transforming livelihoods within their communities through impactful projects that address current climate change issues.
As the project's media partner, @communitypodium, will be sharing more information about the FAMS project, including details about the partners involved, how consortium members will work together to achieve the project's objectives, the impact expected from the initiative, and much more.🎥🗞🌱
As the famous African proverb says, "If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together," we are looking forward to document and share the journey mirroring the power of collaboration in the quest to build sustainable and resilient communities.

📢 During the #FAMS inception meeting, @communitypodium's Programs Lead, Sihlobo Bulala, reflected on the organization's efforts to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities. This includes addressing the information needs of rural communities and minority groups such as persons with disabilities, women, and youth, to enhance their participation in decision-making processes.
As a partner organization of the Feminist Agroecology Model Schools (FAMS) implemented by @foodjusticenet with support from Climate Works Foundation, @communitypodium aims to leverage its expertise in producing thematic content to raise awareness about the importance of transforming food systems through agroecology and movement building.

It is crucial to recognize the powerful impact that training on the Domestic Violence Act, combined with legal aid clinics, can have on mining-affected communities. Domestic violence remains a pervasive issue, harming countless women and families in areas where CNRG operates, such as Hwange, Penhalonga, and Marange.
With support from @amplifyfund CNRG will be in these communities to strengthen their understanding of sexual reproductive health rights, violence against women and ways for seeking protection and justice
#AccelerateAction—Together, we can build safer, more informed mining communities that stand against violence.

People who downplay the role you have played in their lives are extremely dangerous.
I've observed this in my life & my surroundings & I have realised that there is actually more to this.
Let me elaborate.
When people downplay the role you've played in their lives, it can be a sign of things(at least) :
1. Disrespect and Lack of Gratitude
-Minimizing your contributions : They might downplay or dismiss the positive impact you've had on their life, making you feel unappreciated and unvalued.
-Lack of accountability : By diminishing your role, they might avoid taking responsibility for their actions or acknowledging the support you've provided.
2. Manipulation and Gaslighting
-Distorting reality : Downplaying your role can be a form of gaslighting, making you question your own perceptions and memories.
-Manipulating emotions : By minimizing your contributions, they might manipulate your emotions, making you feel guilty, insecure, or uncertain.
3. Emotional Unavailability
-Fear of intimacy : People who downplay your role might be emotionally unavailable, fearing intimacy or close relationships.
-Avoiding vulnerability : By diminishing your impact, they might avoid vulnerability and maintain a sense of control in the relationship.
I tried to compress it to 3 key reasons so that you also understand where they are coming from. Understanding does not necessarily mean condoning this cuntish behaviour.
The world is filled with these imbeciles, which is why I will also share atleast 3 ways in which you can protect 🛡️yourself..
Use it /Don't use it 🤔well that's entirely your prerogative.
So here we go :
1. Set boundaries, establish clear boundaries to protect your emotional well-being and maintain a healthy distance.
2. Seek validation internally & externally(surround yourself with people who acknowledge and appreciate your contributions).
3. Prioritize self-care by focusing on your own spiritual, soulish and spiritual well-being, engaging in self-care activities that nourish your spirit, mind, emotions, will-power and body.
Remember☝🏾, your worth and value comes from within. Don't let others define your self-worth or minimise or diminish your contributions.

📻On last week's radio show, #IlihloLemaphandleni, which airs every Thursday at 11 AM on @SkyzMetroFM, guest Disrael Israel spoke passionately about the connection between mental health wellness and a positive family structure.
He urged parents and guardians to encourage their children to express their emotions openly and to nurture their emotional well-being.
