Perhaps the best path that Democrats would have to “ban gerrymandering” at the Federal level would be to get another 27 states to ratify the Congressional Apportionment Amendment, which would cap each House of Representatives district at 50,000 people. It remains the only amendment that was originally part of the Bill of Rights to not be ratified, and it’s still technically pending before the states for approval or rejection. 50,000 people per district would be akin to having over 6,600 members of the House of Representatives. It would be functionally impossible to gerrymander districts that small, and we’d instead be dealing with an entirely different crisis on our hands.

Take out living expenses, cost of food, rent, etc… there’s barely $100 afterwards. Am I supposed to live in abject poverty for multiple years to even begin this process you suggest?

An “old used trailer” can still cost several thousand on the low end, plus to legally have it somewhere can cost hundreds of dollars a month for land rent and utilities. And even a single acre of land costs thousands.

It's not a coincidence that most of Hollywood's recent hits are devoid of preachy liberal messaging If anything, movies are going back to conservative tropes from the 90's, such as: - Guys getting the girl trope - Strong, smart, and competent male protagonists - Female characters respect male characters - Male hero saves the day trope - Male characters are allowed to look cool again - Subtle references to fearing and/or respecting God

Is there actually a choice based game where your choices ACTUALLY REALLY matter? Like, the story is actually significantly different. No Telltale or LIS game has achieved this. LiS2 probably sold the illusion the best. Until Dawn and Heavy Rain maybe?

Issues with the writing in "TADC" et al doesn't really seem like "they only watch Children's Shows" it just kind of seems like regular amateur writing to me. If I see a drawing with really bad anatomy I'm not gonna be like "LMAO it's cuz the artist only referenced Peppa Pig"

@sunnyright I had problems with Obama striking Syria, his use of executive orders to bypass getting Congress to make laws, etc. He was more strategic about its use, but it still set an awful precedent. So yeah, I want the executive branch to be reigned in.

The “No Kings” people support passing legislation to ensure that no current or future president can have so much power, right? To permanently restore the presidency to its far more limited role? Right? Or do they just want a king with a different political ideology?

@sapperjoe85 @PolitiBunny Noncitizens are already not allowed to vote. And on top of that, there have only been 100 confirmed cases of noncitizens voting in federal elections in the last 40 years, across the whole country. This makes it harder for people to vote to stop an insignificant problem.

@ZNN_Andy @PolitiBunny Except that we live in a republic with an electoral college where even if someone gets 1-2 million more votes they can still lose in national elections. And why is proof of citizenship not necessary? Are we to allow anyone who comes here the opportunity to vote in our government?

For shits and giggles, I decided to see just how hard it would be to replace my birth certificate, Social Security card, AND my marriage license, since Democrats think women are too stupid to figure it out. Here's how it went: 1. Birth certificate: Contacted the health department of the county where I was born. They OVERNIGHTED a certified copy to me the next day - total cost, $14. 2. SS Card: Contacted Social Security on their site. They asked if I was sure I needed the card, since I 'won't likely be asked for it.' I went ahead and got it - took five business days to arrive - total cost, $0. 3. Marriage License: Went to the 'vital docs' site of the county where we were hitched. Filled everything out online, arrived in three days - total cost, $5. It cost less than $20 to obtain all three certified/legal documents, and it took less than five business days to receive them. Note: if I had lived where I was born or married, it would have been a day. Tops. Anyone telling you this is too hard or unfair is lying and hiding the real reason they want to stop Voter ID. I know you guys knew that already... lol

@sapperjoe85 @PolitiBunny Most, sure but not all. Even if 95% of Americans have it, that 5% is still 17 million Americans that would have unnecessary difficulties voting that they didn’t have before. And when national elections are determined by a difference of 1-2 million, that 17 mil makes a difference

@ZNN_Andy @PolitiBunny I seriously doubt that. Most people who are already married have these documents handy anyway because like I said, you need these items for other things. These are commonly required documents for everyone.

@Jack_Frodo Is the 1/6 gravity important to the plot or is it just for realism’s sake? I’d be okay with them ignoring it more or less to tell a good story.
