@associates_risk @Iowacrops The bean map makes no sense. Can plant beans across the border from Canada in MN 5 days before half of Kansas

@DOMOCAPITAL @SweetLilBabyGee This week is different but spiking fert isn’t switching things back to corn as stated previously. I’m at 93-94 on corn and 86 on beans give or take. You forget this is third year of higher corn acres. Most don’t like corn on corn on corn so that’s fighting an increase as well

@DOMOCAPITAL @SweetLilBabyGee Not that much no till or strip till in MN so not much of any herbicide has been sprayed yet. As far as seed there are plenty of options if you aren’t dead set on certain hybrids or varieties. I’m not talking 5 mil switching corn to beans. Last week new crop said beans better.

The current soybean/corn ratio is under 2.26.... solidly pointing to more corn acres vs soybean acres for 2026 planting...

@DOMOCAPITAL @SweetLilBabyGee It is for those who already applied fert. If it’s on it’s staying corn. I could see a lot of guys who have fert bought but not applied yet holding on to that until fall potentially and planting beans now if they sold or hedged some beans towards the end of last week.

@MatthewCKrueger -40. Yikes. That's what you get with the huge yields I guess. Put some hedges on today. Waiting for our +.10 basis to get better before locking that in.

@SweetLilBabyGee @DOMOCAPITAL You have to put on fert or manure for corn or adjust your yield expectations significantly. Most advanced operations will apply fertilizer on their beans as well in normal circumstances, but after talking to several other growers and customers guys are skipping on beans this year

@ZP871 @DOMOCAPITAL Came here to say this. All I know is Twitter rumors. Any truth to US farmers not needing fertilizer for soybeans vs needing fert for corn ?

TPS for Somali people was established more than 30 years ago under the first Bush administration. Our Somali neighbors here on TPS came for safety and have stayed to build brilliant lives in America—raising families, starting businesses, and enriching the culture of our city.

This is what happens when big equipment companies can’t deliver parts on time. I was told this morning for an alternator obviously it didn’t show. I’m absolutely sick of shitty parts and shitty parts just in time as they call it. Once this thing gets below a certain voltage I can’t shut the system off. #parts #bigag #bs #oklahoma

@broketard @SoybeansRus Your real name says it all. not the same for everyone tard. Some try play the game, if Iran didn’t happen nobody would be saying you shouldve prepaid and sold everything on first 50c run. To each their own but, just as every basis/end user is different each fert supply is as well

@ZP871 @SoybeansRus We're talking about buying inputs, not marketing grain. If you apply in fall buy during summer fill period, if you apply in spring buy in December-February. It's pretty simple

@TheGrainiac @panotiller If you could talk every individual farmer into striking you would get somewhere but that ain’t happening. I wish it was possible because it would really change things

@panotiller Hard 2 strike in an atomistic mkt structure. 2 many players. Cartels work bc there is a small enough # of players they can be held accountable or there’s a fear of non-compliance. Root issue of the lack of consistent mgns in ag is there are too many willing to do it for free.

Suddenly, everybody coming out of the woodwork claiming that we are in a new commodity supercycle. Really? Where were these guys 20 years ago when gold was $450, copper was 90 cents and cattle were 80 cents? The commodity supercycle is near the end, not the beginning. #Commodities

@broketard @SoybeansRus True but It was expensive then, then the Oct report was wrong, then the Jan report was wrong so guys that didn’t need to sell been weighing cash and new crop vs fert. If it was simple we’d all have it locked in at positive margins previous July or Oct but that isn’t reality.

@SoybeansRus They aren't, but in my experience the better operators tend to buy at least some of their fertilizer in the fall.

@NicoAIQ @sschevelle33 They’ll feign an attack now to see what trump does, but won’t go thru with it. Personally think they’ll wait till another president is in office. Really wonder why they didn’t when crayon Biden was in but, maybe they were more afraid of whoever was actually making the calls

@sschevelle33 Think about it, world is angry w/Trump, SE Asia doesn’t have 40 days of oil to defend itself, USA just took away THAADs & CSG from Asian theatre, Trump excited about Beijing meeting, and world probably says same thing, “ain’t our problem.” If ever there was a time to go…
