Before You Buy That Laptop, Read This!
Too many people are buying laptops they don’t understand.
You just walk in, see “Intel dual core”, the seller smiles, you pay ₦120K…
Then two weeks later, you’re crying because it’s slow.
First, understand this: the processor is the brain.
It decides how fast your laptop can think.
And just like people, some brains think faster than others.
Now, there are three main families ruling the streets:
Intel. AMD. Apple M-Series.
Let’s break them down:
⚙️ 1. INTEL: The OG in the game.
Intel has been running this show for decades.
But inside Intel, there are different “levels” of brains.
Here’s what they mean:
A. Intel Celeron → For typing, browsing, YouTube. It’s weak. Don’t buy it if you’re doing serious work.
B. Intel Pentium → A little better, but still entry-level. Good for office basics, not creative work.
C. Intel Core Series → This is where the real work happens.
a. Core i3 → For students, writers, and light users.
b. Core i5 → Balanced for freelancers, designers, and marketers.
c. Core i7 → Power user level — for editors, coders, and cybersecurity pros.
d. Core i9 → Monster. Expensive, but built for high-end creators and gamers.
Pro Tip: Don’t waste money on i9 because it sounds “pro.”
If all you do is Word, Canva, and Core i5 will serve you like royalty.
🔥 2. AMD: The Quiet Beast
AMD came for Intel’s neck and it’s been a beautiful fight.
Their processors are called Ryzen.
Ryzen gives you strong performance for less money.
Here’s the power scale:
Ryzen 3 = Core i3
Ryzen 5 = Core i5
Ryzen 7 = Core i7
Ryzen 9 = Core i9
Bonus: AMD has better built-in graphics.
So if you design, edit, or game Ryzen 5 or 7 gives you crazy value.
3. Apple M-Series: The Silent Assassin
Then Apple said, “Forget Intel, we’ll make our own.”
And they dropped M1, M2, M3and now M4.
These chips are super-efficient, quiet, fast, and smooth like butter.
But they live only inside MacBooks.
M1 is great. M2 is faster. M3 is for the gods. M4 the beast.
Note: They’re expensive, but worth it if you live inside the Apple ecosystem.
I do hope you learned something Here.

Bro to Bro. It is 2026 again!!!
We all have been seeing the news of young people slumping suddenly
Do these tests before 2027.
DON'T POSTPONE BRO
Save this for when you're ready.
- Blood pressure , Get yourself a BP Machine.
- Blood sugar/HBA1C- Checks level & control of sugar in your blood
- Liver Function test- (especially if you take Alcohol or a heavy drinker!)
- ECG- ( If you're a gym bro or thinking of checking into a gym, Don't go gymming without BP + ECG)
- Urinalysis- says much about your Kidney and system
- EUCR- To check your kidney functions.
- HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. (If you're sexually active)
Get your Hep B vaccination. It is cheap
- Sperm/ Seminal Fluid analysis- (if you're planning marriage or starting a family soon)
- Fasting Lipid profile- checks level of your blood fats
- Full blood count- To see your blood levels
As you hit 40- 50s talk to your Doctor about Prostate cancer screening and Colonoscopy ( especially if you have family history of Cancer)
In 2026, if you want to live longer, Avoid Alcohol and smoking.
Make these occasional routine tests.
- Normalise scheduling routine appointments with your Doctor.
With 50 to 100k, you can do these within a year.
Don't postpone . Need help? DM ME
Tell a Bro.

If your SQL results still need Excel cleanup, you’re doing it wrong.
When I started working with SQL, my queries ran, but my results were messy.
Extra spaces. Inconsistent casing.
Null values everywhere.
It felt like cleaning a house with a broken broom.
That’s when I realized SQL isn’t just about pulling data, it’s also about cleaning it.
And once I learned the right functions, my workflow shifted completely
I remember a project where customer names came in all sorts of formats “john doe”, “JOHN DOE”, “ John Doe ”
At first, it looked unfixable. But with a mix of TRIM(), UPPER(), and REPLACE(), the dataset went from chaos to clean in minutes.
That was the moment SQL stopped feeling like just a query tool, and started feeling like a data workshop
👉Here are 20 SQL functions that changed everything for me:
Text Cleanup
TRIM(): Remove leading and trailing spaces
LTRIM(): Remove spaces from the left side
RTRIM(): Remove spaces from the right side
UPPER(): Convert text to uppercase
LOWER(): Convert text to lowercase
REPLACE(): Replace parts of a string
SUBSTRING(): Extract part of a string
LEFT(): Extract characters from the left side
RIGHT(): Extract characters from the right side
Set 2: Null & Type Handling
CAST(): Change data type
CONVERT(): Change data type with formatting option
COALESCE(): Handle nul values
NULLIF(): Return null if two expressions are equal
ISNULL(): Replace null with a specified value
CONCAT(): Combine multiple columns
Set 3: Quick Checks
LEN() / LENGTH(): Get the length of a string
CHARINDEX() / INSTR(): Find the position of a substring
ROUND(): Round numeric values
ABS(): Return absolute value
Set 4:
Date Handling DATEPART() / EXTRACT(): Extract parts of a date (Year, Month, Day)
Cleaning data with these functions completely changed the quality of my reports.
Instead of patching issues downstream in Excel or Power BI, I could fix them at the source faster, cleaner, and more reliable.
Here’s the pro move:
Don’t just use these one by one. Start nesting them - TRIM(UPPER(REPLACE())) and watch messy raw data transform into analysis-ready datasets.
So let me ask you which SQL cleaning function do you lean on the most in your daily work ??

My name is Abdul Wahab. I am pleading with my Football Twitter (FT) family and everyone on this app to please RT. I am on the verge of losing a life-changing opportunity simply because of where I come from, and I have worked too hard to bottle it now.
I grew up in extreme poverty in a small village called Kwabenantene in the Ahafo Region. I am the very first person in my family and my entire village to ever get a university education. My path was never easy. To survive undergrad, I literally had to drop out of classes mid-semester, pack my bags, and go back home to do heavy construction work just to raise enough money to survive the next term. I was laying bricks to pay for my textbooks. Despite having zero financial safety net, I poured my blood and sweat into my studies and graduated with First-Class Honours in Economics, ranking in the top 1% of my entire cohort of 435 students. But I didn’t just want to succeed alone; I went back to my village, gathered the youth, and started teaching and mentoring them. Because of that work, two students from my locality have now successfully made it into university too. I want to lift my people up.
All this hard work finally paid off: I just received admission into the highly prestigious, integrated Masters/Ph.D. Economics program at Goethe University Frankfurt (GSEFM) in Germany! My tuition is officially 100% waived. However, I am facing a massive roadblock. Because the program is so competitive, I wasn't put directly into the fully-funded Ph.D. cohort right away. Instead, I was admitted to the MSQ track for Year 1. I will take the exact same rigorous classes alongside the Ph.D. students, and if I pass my Year 1 qualifying exams, I transition directly into the fully-funded Ph.D.
I know I will pass those exams. The academics don't scare me. The finances do. My only problem right now is getting funding to cover my Year 1 living expenses in Frankfurt. If I can just survive these first 12 months, the Ph.D. funding takes over and my future is secured.
To my FT family: you guys know my grind and my loyalty. If I get this lifeline, I promise I will proudly represent FT in every academic hall, conference, and research room I ever step into. I just need a chance to be in the room. I cannot let a lack of living expenses kill a dream I built with my bare hands.
If you know of any scholarships, foundations, philanthropists, or anyone who can sponsor a village boy for just one year, PLEASE tag them or reach out. Please RT this until it reaches the right timeline. Let’s make this happen! 🌍📚🙏🏾
