He also questioned whether two mandatory ducts ordered in 2021 were ever built. According to Mane, Pune still has nearly 36,000 km of illegal overhead cables. He alleged that if proper penalties had been collected, the civic body could have earned between ₹13,000 crore and ₹14,000 crore, taking the total estimated loss to ₹26,000 crore.
