@ShaforGuy16272 Nothing is. That’s the problem from the original post. There is no means to test what’s wrong in the brain or test to verify results of meditation outside of subjective measures. We can’t even say with certainty that a lack of serotonin is the reason people get depressed.

@ShaforGuy16272 Correct, I’m all for it. This assumes though that people pay cash for the meds and then hospitals aren’t forced into treating the person who electively damaged their body. L’s don’t believe that others are responsible for consequences of your decisions.

@arthamielle @AnnieSFW There have been hundreds if not thousands of new tests developed that failed in reliability or repeatability and therefore were thrown out. Being the best player on the worst team isn’t something to be proud of. I’d love nothing more than to see better test come out.

@ShaforGuy16272 Correct and I agree with them when it comes to adults, minors are a different story. No libertarian believes in pharm companies due to the protections they have against lawsuits via the gov or how insurance currently functions. Remove those and we have a different discussion.

We are the most heavily medicated society in the world when it comes to psych meds. With no objective measure to show positive changes. There are better options to treat these conditions. Change is needed

They are designed to try and rule out people who don’t truly have it but as in the example above, they don’t always work. Pair that with pill farm docs who give out ADD and anxiety meds like candy and we have a problem.

@ShaforGuy16272 You clearly don’t understand libertarian beliefs. I’m saying people lie and often times their perceived reality is wrong. Science does not and should not accept a person subjective opinion as fact. It does affect others through insurance cost, cash pay would be different story
