Steam Controller easter egg: the controller screams when dropped by about 3 feet (Big Picture Mode, about once every 5-6 drops) reddit.com/r/SteamControl…
@ChibiReviews Yeah I don't get companies giving me junkail for other companies. I think Burger King sent me junk mail for Netflix or something the other day. No collab, just telling me to sign up.
Valve has a system ready for people to reserve the new Steam Machine. It appears in Steam’s secret code, which lists four different Steam Machine models plus two for the Steam Frame.
They found this after adding the same reservation queue for the Steam Controller a few days ago. The Controller went on sale on May 4 and sold out quickly, so Valve activated the queue on May 8.
It works like this: You join a waiting line, and when stock is ready, they send an email giving you 72 hours to buy it.
Only one per account, and the account must be old with some purchases to prevent reselling.
They used this system before with the first Steam Deck and it worked well, so they plan to use it for the Steam Machine too.
They have not opened reservations or announced the exact launch date yet, but the system is ready and tested.

AMD warns of lower gaming sales in the second half of the year due to higher memory and component costs.
CFO Jean Hu said: “We expect second-half demand in gaming to be impacted by higher component and memory costs. We now expect second-half gaming revenue to decline by more than 20% compared to the first half.”
CEO Lisa Su noted the tight memory supply caused by AI demand. She said the company is “planning the business accordingly.”
So yes, expect higher prices for graphics cards, RAM, and PC parts through the rest of 2026.
