The largest weekly drawdown on record. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is now at 374 million barrels after shedding 9.9 million barrels in one week alone, another record. Since the Iran war began, the U.S. has drained 42 million barrels from the SPR. That's 10% of the entire emergency buffer, wiped out in 3 months. The SPR exists for exactly this scenario. President Trump again today was firm and unequivocal that Iran will not be allowed to continue to possess over 900 lbs. of highly enriched uranium. Iran could use it to make a dirty bomb or in the future could potentially weaponize it at 90 percent. He again today reinforced his determination not to allow Iran to have a path to a nuclear weapon. There is no path to a nuclear weapon without enrichment capability. The president has been insistent that Iran not be allowed to enrich because of their history of cheating.
This along with the stated goal to make sure Iran cannot continue to support terrorist proxies are, in my view, the red lines for negotiations for good reason.

Nikolay Mladenov, head of the U.S.-led Board of Peace, dropped a 15-point framework this week.
The key points:
One authority, one law, one weapon. Full disarmament and police reform.
Separation of armed forces from civilian structures.
Internal Palestinian peace agreement to prevent factional collapse.
International stabilisation force deploys as Israel gradually withdraws.
Reconstruction only follows once stability is real, not promised.
Everything anchored to UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and existing ceasefire obligations.
On paper it's the most coherent Gaza framework any U.S. administration has put forward. The problem is every single point on that list requires either Hamas to cooperate, Israel to withdraw, or both to happen in sequence, and neither has shown any appetite for either.
A roadmap only works if the destination is agreed upon. It isn't.
