The Twitter Convoy started out as a vital lifeline to Ukrainians facing a threat to their very existence. Today, it has evolved into a movement of solidarity and support that sustains countless communities across Ukraine — and it all started from a single tweet by ECR MEP Reinis @Poznaks – hence its name. @EP_President Roberta Metsola and co-chair of the ECR Group @NProcaccini joined him at the launch of an exhibition to tell the story of how Latvia's culture of giving has helped Ukraine not only to survive, but to fight back. 🇺🇦🇱🇻🇪🇺

No šī gada februāra dzērājšoferiem konfiscētās automašīnas nogādāt no Latvijas uz Ukrainu apņēmās arī labdarības organizācija "Tev". Noteikumi paredz, ka šīs mašīnas Ukrainai jāsniedz bez atlīdzības.

🟦 Looking beyond the ayatollahs towards democracy in Iran
Regime change in Iran may come suddenly, given that the country’s ruling elite are at their weakest in a generation, and the European Union needs to be ready to respond with support for the development of a free and democratic society.
That was one of the messages to emerge from a fascinating event today in Parliament co-chaired by Reinis Pozņaks, our group's coordinator in @EP_Defence.
The meeting, attended by representatives from Iranian democratic opposition movements, highlighted the importance of maintaining diplomatic pressure on Tehran, isolating the country’s economy to stymie its atomic ambitions and enhancing support for democratic actors agitating for change in Iran.
The malign influence of Iran in the region, its support for terrorist proxies worldwide and its strategic alliance with Russia also came under the spotlight.
