It’s interesting to me how when you bring up the vulnerability Black men and boys experience in their communities, feminists accuse you of minimizing violence against women. I find this quite ironic, as simply mentioning the systematic nature of the vulnerability to intimate partner violence and sexual violence BM experience is enough to elicit these accusations. It reveals such a deep lack of reflexivity to not recognize these accusations of minimizing harm against BW as deflections and attempted erasure of systematic violence against Black males. The accusations are literally confessions. Black people deserve leaders and solutions that seek to address the roots of our issues in the colonial-capitalist system we are subjected to—not misleaders, compradors and racist misandrists who claim that divesting from Black men is the way to the promised land.
