Good on UCONN HC Geno Auriemma for owning up to being a sore loser and recognizing how that detracted from the great game South Carolina played. We all get competitive and sometimes don’t live up to the standard. Losing sucks. Humility and repentance goes a long way though.

The reality? This wasn't about a handshake. This was about Geno protecting his players. He was turning the focus away from his players, who just lost an undefeated season. He did not want them to get blasted by the media. So he took it on himself. It's happened before.

(Including myself) She's casually walking to shake hands and this jerk out of nowhere basically tell her, another respected coach, "You're supposed to be right here!". If it was Kim Mulkey, I'm not so sure she wouldn't have swung. GENO started the thing. She was reacting to being disrespected. You might want to dig a hole and crawl in it.
