It’s a sign I live an easy life, but in recent memory the most uncomfortable I’ve been was getting caught in a slushy rain on a winter day while out riding. Watching the #GirodItalia debacle from inside a warm house & hope the riders don’t have to deal with the terrible weather

In a few weeks I want to test myself on the Bedoin to summit ascent. I feel a bit weird asking this but…. I’m looking for a handful of riders that would like to be a part of this. With a potential view of riding 6-6.4wkg for the first 10-20min of the climb😵‍💫

@artur Is the welcome suica just a prepaid card? I live in Ishikawa prefecture and have a few different IC cards but never connected any to my phone… mostly because my city uses their own IC card which isn’t national :(

@ZebulonR Tourists can get welcome suicas fairly easily. But TBH if you're a tourist and you own an iphone, not much of a point. I keep my old physical suica just in case of shenanigans.

Mobile Suica and Mobile PASMO are under cyberattack since 18:20 this eve. It’s a good thing they didn’t abruptly stop making physical cards and force everyone to use mobile. Oh wait, they did.

@ZebulonR Sure been there done that. WoW, LOL, CS. I was born 10 years to early otherwise I would’ve been pro gamer for sure Used to bring my stationary computer around every weekend to play all night and drink Coca Cola etc. miss those days!

I was really enjoying #ParisRoubaix2023 until the @johndegenkolb moment followed by @WoutvanAert flat. Really took the ol wind out of the sails of the race’s build up to a grand finale

@EscapeCycling @ronanmclaughlin Isn’t this just Keirin in Japan? Highly regulated bikes & tools. Incredibly similar bikes to even the playing field for the benefit of gambling.

It’s hard to believe @WoutvanAert deciding to not race against Laporte is controversial for some. But, some of my favorite moments in racing are watching Domestiques do their thing. Watching that kind of teamwork is just so cool.

Everyone at work probably thinks I’m really dedicated. I just learned my cultural furlough time is per break & not per year. Meaning I didn’t use any during winter break, so I threw away 5 bonus vacation days. Just submitted my form for Spring Break’s days though. Never again.

I tweeted this back in January and since then I have landed a spot on a Japan Pro Team. First race is this weekend! I’m looking forward to a new challenge and some bike racing.

@CapeEpic Wow! I’m out of touch with coverage, but I haven’t seen anyone mention that. Pretty neat the ol’ shark is still swimming. I guess they’re known to visit the waters around South Africa though? Hope he does well!
