Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
Press Release: Our father, Mallam Nasir @elrufai, is still being held by the ICPC. Today, 15 May 2026, we witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his basic rights. First, his personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted on our father. Officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required. This directly flouts a clear court order granting Mallam Nasir El‑Rufai unrestricted access to his doctors. Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm. This arbitrary rule is no less offensive than blocking his right to medical care. These acts are an outright assault on the rule of law and a clear violation of our father's constitutional and human rights. No lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC. Shame on them as an institution. We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol. The ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce. Signed Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Member. Kaduna North Federal Constituency Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations. May 15, 2026.

Dear Obidients, in all sincerity, how do you enjoy listening to Peter Obi? How do you understand some of the things he says? He was reading from a teleprompter, & he still did not sound sharp. How are you all following him? What exactly appeals to you?

@SodiqTade think if our electoral system is free of corruption then I don't think those you referred to as desperados would still be contesting by now and probably would have become presidents too. In our environment here, it's difficult to call anyone desperado for contesting election.

Congratulations to President Tinubu. I'm not a fan and I have been criticizing you for over a decade. Tbh, you are the least desperate politician Nigerians have ever witnessed. You sacrificed your ambition in 2007, and 2015 for you to be President today. In a country where everyone wants to be President at the same time. You have shown that you don't have to be desperate to win. I'm not your fan and I will still continue to criticize you. However, recent happenings in our polity have shown that you are a rare one. I wish you the very best!

@BwalaDaniel @atiku @officialABAT Incredible! With over 30 governors in your camp, BAT is still afraid of ADC. Hope you heard Alh. Buba Galadima..."even if you put a dead body in a coffin in 2027, BAT would lose. We want an election that would be fully decided at the polls and not in the courts.

My former boss @atiku said “with a coalition candidate, President Tinubu @officialABAT is dead on arrival. Lol But we know you are the coalition candidate YET (no vex sir), he defeated you in 2023 when you had governors, states, and structures. These governors, states and structures are with him. With a coalition of aggrieved “STATELESS” leaders, I doubt if President Tinubu would bother to check the scoreboard on the day.

@Prince_dc21_ You are lucky he didn't strangle you. I know some men that would have. Would you have done that to your own 5 year old? What you did was that you simply showed that you are not the boy's mum, and you care little about him.

'Now I truly understand why so many women avoid marrying single fathers. Right now, my husband isn’t speaking to me, and it’s all because of his son. I am 28 years old and we have a 6-month-old baby together. I’ve known my husband for three years, and we have lived together for one. When we met, he was already a single dad to a 2-year-old boy (the mother sadly passed away during birth). That boy is now 5 years old. My biggest issue is that he doesn’t help with any chores at all, he doesn't like sweeping, same with washing the dishes, nothing. Since I have a newborn, my younger sister moved in to help me, and my husband even offered to pay for her tailoring school. Everything blew up last Wednesday. My husband came back home around 7: 50AM because he forgot his laptop. He found his son still at home and asked why he wasn't in school. I explained that I told the boy he had to finish his chores sweeping the house and washing dishes before he could leave for school. My husband lost his temper. He shouted that a 5-year-old is too young for chores and said my sister should be doing that work instead. I told him straight: my sister is not a maid; she is here to help me with the baby’s laundry. Since then he has been giving me the silent treatment. To make a point, he now wakes up at 5: 30AM every day to sweep the rooms and do the dishes himself so his son won't have to. Now, he has given me an ultimum. He wants my sister to leave so he can hire a professional nanny. I told him no, but he said if she isn't gone in a week, he will force her out himself. When I told him I would leave too, he simply said the door is open—but I’d have to leave our 6-month-old baby behind. I’m currently stuck. I don’t want to lose my marriage, but I don’t want a stranger all in the name of a 'nanny' in my house either. If my sister leaves, she loses her chance at her training. Is it too much to ask a 5-year-old to do some household chores? Pls, whats wrong asking my step child to help out with chores??"

In 2019 he was public about it; In 2023 he was hypocritically private about it masquerading as a journalist; meanwhile he has zero training or experience as a journalist. In 2027, he is wickedly pretentious about it. Social media vitriol, hate and revenue is more important to him than national interest. #comeoutofthepoliticalpartisancloset

"Adan" has finally captured the ADC. Closing Nigeria’s democratic space is no “master strategy.” While Bola Tinubu and his supporters may celebrate his ability to suppress and sow discord within other parties, and it may appear that he is “winning,” Nigeria is losing. When democratic space is restricted, people are driven underground. One would hope that his so called “master strategy” would instead have a positive impact on the lives of millions of Nigerians facing insecurity, economic hardship, and other pressing challenges.

Dear Yorubas, I am really curious to know, is it part of your culture to come back to your benefactor the next day to say “thanks for yesterday”? I’ve noticed that EVERY Yoruba person that I’ve assisted on this app would send a message the next day to say “thank you for yesterday”. I’ve not noticed this with any other tribe and I don’t do it either. Please I need to know.

Most govt primary and secondary school buildings in Nigeria are an eyesaw to look at, some students have no classrooms especially in the North according to reports, but Tinubu's administration expects Nigerians to be impressed because they struck a deal/partnership with the UK? "We are already making real progress", for who exactly? It's even more laughable knowing full well that Nigerian politicians will still send their children abroad after this so-called progress. Really laughable.
Dr. Tunji Alausa@DrTunjiAlausa

I’m in London with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and we are already making real progress — advancing a major partnership with Coventry University to bring UK degrees to Nigeria. This is personal. For too long, families have had to send their children thousands of miles away in search of quality education. We are changing that. With Coventry University Nigeria, our students will be able to earn fully accredited UK degrees — at significantly lower cost — without leaving the country. As I’ve said, we want Nigerian parents to enjoy having their children at home, while still receiving a world-class UK education. The proposed campus in Alaro City, Lagos will offer Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes across STEMM, Business, and TVET, with admissions expected between Q3 and Q4 of 2026 (subject to approvals). Beyond access, this is about building Nigeria’s human capital — developing the skills, talent, and workforce needed to drive innovation, productivity, and long-term national growth. We are bringing global opportunity home — where it belongs. #alausaedureform #NoDaysOff

President Tinubu’s State Visit to UK. Never underestimate the place of destiny. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, your journey has come full circle. I remember Hilton Metropole, 1994. In exile, I asked you rhetorically what the struggle had cost you. You said: a lot, including selling your houses in America to sustain the democratic cause. I told you then: never mind you would be the greatest beneficiary of that struggle. Today, in this same United Kingdom, where the concern then was how to secure travel documents to get to Auckland and push Nigeria’s democratic agenda at the Commonwealth meeting you are now being hosted by the King and country. History has a way of validating conviction. You went to Auckland. You stayed the course. And now, destiny has spoken. As I told you then: when my friends say something must move and it refuses they kick it. We did more than kick it. We moved serious nations to get here. Akanbi omo olode ide. Ikoyi eso omo a gbo won nu, je bin lolu olori ogun. I am happy for you. Truly. And yes I congratulate myself too, for seeing what destiny had already written. Alajobi agbe wa o. The optics are powerful. The moment is earned. But as you return, remember there is still work to be done. @SegunShowunmi The Alternative #ABATSG
