@JonahLupton Diet is extremely individualized for sure, some people feel amazing and are perfectly healthy eating those carnivore diets of almost only meat, while other people can be exactly the opposite being full vegan and being perfectly healthy and it's really just about experimenting

@ptmd07058239 @JonahLupton They're meant to be more specialized shoes like for professional runners to really notice the difference, for more casual wear I'm sure there's still super comfortable but probably not technically worth the extra money. I'm not a runner but I buy expensive ones sometimes too

@JonahLupton Are they worth it considering the price when you compare it to the others that you can get for between 50-100$? What is so special about them?

If I buy a pair of the new $ONON Cloudmonster Hyper’s, can I write them off as a business expense for research purposes? 😂

@AskRobinhood I appreciate the reply, if this is still the case maybe y'all would want to let people on r/stocks on Reddit know there seems to be a miscommunication and lots of people are thinking it has been removed and are upset

Here we go again, every fucking time I post about my trading portfolio I get these replies “I can’t believe you sold CELH” and “I thought you liked TMDX, why did you sell?” Listen up because I’m tired of doing this… I run an investment portfolio/strategy and a trading portfolio/strategy. Please pay attention to which portfolio I mention in my post and stop replying with stupid questions.

Such an ugly, choppy market. I’m 75% cash in my trading portfolio… only positions are $CPNG $SHOP $HAL $AGR Just finished my morning stock screens and chart reviews… very hard to find any compelling trade setups right now. I doubt I’ll be doing much today even though this market is looking oversold and we could see some green today with the 10Y yield pulling back.

@JonahLupton I know you've tried Nikes already and I do think overall On and Hokas are better, except in my opinion the Nike Invincible Run. Those are the only Nikes I still have they're amazing

If I’m going to be bullish on $ONON then I need to know the competition so I bought another pair of Brooks sneakers. I like this style more than the last pair but they’re still a little too narrow for my feet (need to wear super thin socks). I’ll probably keep these sneakers and wear them 2-3x per month but $ONON (esp Cloudmonster) is still more comfortable with better cushion for bulky guys like me. Tomorrow or Saturday I have a pair of Saucony sneakers coming (Kinvara Pro) and I’m excited to try them out. In case you’re wondering, these are the Brooks Hyperion Max (they run small so I’d recommend going up a 1/2 size, for reference I wear an 11.5 in On and Hoka but 12 in Nike and Brooks).

I'll post more thoughts in the next couple days on $ONON -- personally I thought the selloff this morning was a major overreaction and a nice buying opportunity (for long-term investors) so I added to my position from $29.00 down to $27.40 There were a couple hiccups in the quarter around wholesale (Europe & Americas were not as strong as I would have liked) but most of the miss today was related to foreign currency exchange (because $ONON is based in Switzerland so they have to convert most of their revenues back into the Swiss Franc) and cutting off some retailers/wholesalers (b/c they want more DTC business at higher margins -- same as Nike). $ONON lost -$85.5M in Q4 just from currency exchange which turned a good quarter with $40-50M of profits into a bad quarter with $40-50M of losses. $ONON guided to 30% revenue growth for CY2024 and said margins will continue to expand. Nothing wrong with this, essentially inline with consensus. I still believe $ONON is a compelling long-term growth story and my investment thesis looks like fine. Don't forget, currency headwinds are only temporary, eventually they turn into currency tailwinds. Just in case you were worried about my $ONON position this morning, I bought some March & April puts yesterday (0.45% position) which were up 180% this morning. I sold all of them by 9:45am and now that $ONON has bounced ~8% off the morning lows I'm green on my position today (if you include the puts).

Everytime I post about @on_running or @hoka, several of you always reply that Brooks are your favorites so I decided to buy a pair. I got the Hyperion Tempo. I’m wearing them at the gym right now; they are decent but definitely not as good as my On Cloudmonster’s. I do think these Brooks sneakers might be a little too narrow for my feet which is impacting my opinion but there’s definitely not as much cushion in the sole. I might send these back and get a different style in a bigger size. Perhaps I need the Hyperion Max which looks like it has more cushion.

@JonahLupton Hope they do implement some sort of lower caffeine product my girlfriend really likes them but feels like she gets too jittery, maybe a smaller can like Alani did or just a 100mg different formula productNot sure if that's in the cards for them but anecdotally it would be a hit

@JonahLupton I have a tiny smci position but still was nice to see Seeing Nvidia go up so much is rough for me I sold mine on a day where TSLA and Nvidia were both around $125 a share and basically swapped positions NVDA to TSLA. Basically did right before all the chatgpt stuff blew up....

FWIW, $SMCI could go up another 36% next week and the stock would still be trading with a PEG ratio below 0.5x It’s just absurd that $SMCI was trading at 15x earnings going into the close yesterday. Next time someone tells me the market is efficient I’m going to show them this screenshot

Here is my current investment portfolio to close out the week (top 22 positions from largest to smallest): $SMCI $CELH $TMDX $FOUR $UBER $AMD $LNTH $META $MELI $NU $DKNG $ONON $NVDA $TDW $U $SQ $ASPN $TSLA $PLTR $ELF $MTCH $TOST YTD performance: +12.8% Very strange day with $CELH down -12% but $SMCI up +36% $SMCI is now the largest position in my investment portfolio but across all my different accounts $CELH is still 2.5x bigger My top 10 positions are up an average of +8.7% YTD but my largest position (ie $SMCI) is now up +48.9% YTD which is obviously driving a big chunk of my performance I'm still adding alpha with my hedging strategies, for instance I was short $IWM and $ARKK overnight, they both went red to green (which seems to happen everyday now) so I covered my $IWM short/hedge when it bounced off the 50d ema and I covered my $ARKK short/hedge when it bounced off yesterday's lows. Then I got back into both shorts/hedges at 3:55pm to cover me through the weekend. FWIW, out of the +12.8% YTD returns, approximately 1/3 of those returns are from my hedges and other other 2/3 are from my longs/equities with $SMCI accounting for more than 50% of my YTD equity returns. I added to my $CELH position today on the pullback and bought $CELH calls for the first time since last February, right before the stock gapped up on 2023 Q1 earnings and I sold my calls for a 450% gain. I have no idea how long I'll hold these calls, I'm just looking for a bounceback next week then I might start averaging out. I did a few small trims to my $SMCI position today above $400, obviously I still think there's plenty of upside left or it wouldn't be my largest position.

$ONON has several new product launches this year including the Cloudmonster 2 and the Cloudmonster Hyper (both of which I'm excited about) plus Cloudrunner 2, Cloudsurfer 2 and several more. Here's a sneak peek at the Cloudmonster Hyper which should compete with the high-end, high-performance sneakers from Hoka, Nike, New Balance, Brooks and Asics. youtube.com/watch?v=NOMcTU…

@JonahLupton @MarrsGist Curved ones more often then not are ultra wide, a 49 inch ultra wide monitor is the exact size as 2 27 inch monitors next to each other to get an idea Or Samsung has a 57 inch one that's the size of 2 32 inch monitors but that is crazy big

@MarrsGist Does it really help with eye strain? It looks like the curved monitors aren’t as tall as the flat ones?

I’m debating whether or not to upgrade my current setup (pic below) to curved monitors… the research says they increase field of view and reduce eye strain but I’ve never used curved monitors before. Any thoughts on flat monitors vs curved monitors? Which do you prefer?

Thanks for all the feedback today. I spent the past 3 hours looking at 100+ options across a dozen different websites and ended up buying this one from Amazon which is made by Skytech a.co/d/e8nWoni I believe it was the best specs for the best price, I actually got a $220 off coupon on Amazon so the final price was $1899 plus taxes. I toughest decision was deciding whether to go with an Intel i7 / Intel i9 ... or... AMD Ryzen 7 / Ryzen 9 Then I had to decide if I want an Nvidia 4070/4080 card or the AMD Radeon card. I'm certainly no expert in this arena but after some research it went with the Intel i9 and the Nvidia RTX 4070 I also wanted the DDR5 which is 50% better than the DDR4 (I didn't know this until 30 minutes ago). My brain is fried, I'm ready for bed. PS: Part of me knows I should have waited until Black Friday and I might have saved another $150-200 but patience isn't one of my better traits

I just posted this in my @Stocktwits room — my current portfolio from largest to smallest with updated stop losses. Over the past 6 weeks I’ve done some tax loss selling, mostly in small caps. I might get back into some of those names in 2022 if they can show some strength.
