@lightbulb_4 @GuriboVR "Voices" in that explanation being active audio sources you are within range to start hearing.
I don't think VRChat has properly documented it anywhere but here's a reply from Tupper on the topic (Though from 2023) ask.vrchat.com/t/developer-up…

@ZenithVal @GuriboVR how does it work being in a world with 80 people, some which may have avatar audio, world audio, item audio - and it seems to (usually) work? is there an authoritative VRC source about the limit of 3, or players+world as a whole?
English

Is this a bug or a feature?
100 audio sources in the scene with autoplay + loop.
Result: maybe 32 are playing, rest is culled. When moving away from the playing ones I expected the culled ones to become active again and start playing... which they don't...
Any ideas why?#VRChat

@lightbulb_4 @GuriboVR VRChat has the Unity Max Real Voices value set to 32. This means there can only be 32 active voices in the WHOLE scene, after this limit audio players start getting prioritized, info here: docs.unity3d.com/6000.3/Documen…
Individual avatars are limited to 3 voices at a time it appears.

@ZoranTheWizard Scenes as sources to modularize makes brain happy.
Stealing that emoji use, useful visual.

Been really busy the past month. I don't have much to show for it. But I do have this cursed thing I'm working on. #VRChat

@2Pish181332 Doesn't bother me nowadays but it'd be a pain to do differently because I switch between PC work and VR headset view often.

@ZenithVal Gotta hit that file>save project. I've noticed unity crashes like 90% less if you save often.
