The sea raising and lowering in long ring long land causes the Aqua Laguna phenomenon in Water seven. Einis lobby, Impel down and Marineford are built on a triangular current system to allow marines to travel quickly as well as impel down being in the calm belt for security.

Like idk this just doesn’t really fly as a worldbuilding argument to me cos there’s so little layering to it, the One Piece world is mostly just like 20+ distinct spaces and Oda doesn’t need to consider how they would possibly interact
English

@sciencegirl The innate desire to feel superior than others that some humans have
English

@Rohanburdened The point of the answer is exactly that he doesn't rape anyone. And he doesn't need a magical dude in the sky to tell him not to.

@RomPieceG5 @tunechistark Its not a bad thing far from it. East blue is a masterclass in prologue writing. It takes its time and establishes the tone setting and style of the story perfectly
English

@RomPieceG5 @tunechistark If you think about those great moments in between arcs where we see the rest of the world, we meet the gorosei, Whitebeard, see shanks act, don't really start till the end of the East blue saga
English

@RomPieceG5 @tunechistark I think one piece starts cooking with the arrival of Mihawk at Baratie, Arlong park has the first truly peak moment and then from reverse mountain onwards it enters that groove where every single arc is better than the last one (except thriller bark
English

@madcap412 Dude have you seen Zootopia 2? A movie about a billionaire steeling credit from a member of a marginalised community and framing her for murder to incite a mass deportation and genocide of said community in order to build a wealthy neighborhood and make money
English

It's not a coincidence that most of Hollywood's recent hits are devoid of preachy liberal messaging
If anything, movies are going back to conservative tropes from the 90's, such as:
- Guys getting the girl trope
- Strong, smart, and competent male protagonists
- Female characters respect male characters
- Male hero saves the day trope
- Male characters are allowed to look cool again
- Subtle references to fearing and/or respecting God

@ABasicAlt @Lorenmakesart @Goldxn_Violin Ok sure, but it's not a piece of Americana. It's an homage to german fairytales
English

@Zenith_9034 @Lorenmakesart @Goldxn_Violin So is America though. You can’t really have American stuff that doesn’t have British and Germanic influences.
English

@Lorenmakesart @Goldxn_Violin Very clearly inspired by british folklore and german fairytales

@age_dna @Bren_Sensei @strawhats I've never complained about the dials not being used in the climeattac. I am talking about the knots. They completely disappeared, oda indroduced them in the chapters about them powering up and then never bought them back, saying "she improved with the black eggs is bs"
English

@Zenith_9034 @Bren_Sensei @strawhats Usopp literally sits and tinkers with Nami's weapon and his own after getting the dials, dummy. Any story is only as good as the reader/watcher having eyes and a brain.
English

@Bren_Sensei @strawhats Sure any story is great and full of detail if you just pretend its there with no evidence whatsoever.
English

@Zenith_9034 @strawhats Thing is, they are being used; you just don’t understand. Nami improved on this method to make her black eggs, which she now feeds Zeus
Usopp uses dials in both his pachinko slingshot and in the Climatact.
Just because you don’t see them; doesn’t mean they aren’t being used.
English

@movieclaire Get game of thrones out of there. Also if you loved Avatar i beg of you watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, you will love it
