False, Nilotic peoples are indigenous to the Nile Valley. Sites like Kadero (c. 3000 BCE) show early pastoralist cultures in central Sudan with cattle-based economies and lifeways very similar to later Nilotic societies. Also, Kush was an indigenous Nile Valley civilization.
